*chuckles* While I am strident, I am also a realist... the capitalist
system is preferred by most americans... so it won't be changed as the
majority (the stupid people) prefer it... any vote to change it will
fail... the election... was stolen... again...

feral: I strongly, although respectfully disagree with you. It is not a
question of what is "preferred by most Americans". You were correct the
first time when you said that it exists because "we accept it".
Most Americans might be ignorant of the fact that other sytems exist or
that the corporate structure as they know it has only been around for about
a hundred years or so. They probaly don't know how unhealthy it is for
them physically, psychologically, spiritually and fiscally to prop up this
system.
They are probably too apathetic to look into alternatives or discover how
beneficial different ways of doing things are.
They are probably too lazy to give up their "conveniences" and "luxuries",
despite the fact that these are the very things that are making thier lives
short, uncomfortable and unfulfilled.
Ignorant, apathetic, and lazy. Not to play a semantic game, but that is
acceptance, not preference. And if someone can't be bothered to change a
system that is so detrimental to their own welfare as this one is, then I
doubt they will be bothered to prevent someone who actually does get off
their ass to do it.
I'm also a realist.

your point and mine are roughly the same... semantics aside, it is all the
same.,.. ignorance and momentum... The idiots are the masses, and as such,
the enlightened willmake no change... I hate capitalism, the majority does
not... I hate bush... the voters, at least according to investigations, do
too... he is a thief and did not win the election... one victory at a
time... in 2012 I am considering running for president... on the platform
if minimilization of government, and legalisation of victimless crimes and
abolition of the electoral college...

i really hate to crack into this debate with more music stuff, but im going
to.
feral, when i said 'killing music' i was referring to the big company
slogan, 'piracy is killing music' i still think that there is a lot of good
stuff out there. unfortunately there is even more cloning and photograph
pop, which is my opinion of the death of music.
music, as an art form, should be original, unless it is being
self-referential, which i dont think most of the bands around at the moment
could even conceive of, and all of this samey stuff is unartistic, which i
feel is the point of music.
im not sure if this was a retort or an observation on your part, but i just
want to ake it clear that although i will in conversation say 'this is
crap' that is an opinon. when i say that someone is talentless i really
mean it. its not an 'i dont like it so they are talentless' issue, its a
filters over the voice, unoriginal songs, bad, or less than really good
instrumental work, not being able to hold it together live issue.
onto the capitalism is killing art and stuff debate, mono, i agree
wholeheartedly bt even if you went up to each american, hit them on the
head with a shovel nd explained to them step by step why something is
better they will not agree with you. same with most english people, most
french people, most german people, etc. for many many people change is not
good. the mere fact something is different is a reason that it is bad, so i
reckon that feral is equally right on that point in that, actual
definitions aside, he is saying the same thing. as ive just noticed he
points out.
feral. if i were eligable id vote for you on those grounds. could i tack a
wealth redistribution on there or do you actually want to get elected
rather than just point out to people how stupid they are for not voting for
you? because i think the latter would be quite fun. 'i offered you real
democracy, more freedom, the two things this country is supposed to stand
for. you called me unamerican and didnt vote for me'....ah but i can dream
