Oh! I thought of something else. The Righteous Brothers "Unchained
Melody."
My roomate and I went through a few different versions of it last night.
Whimper...
And I'm sure that almost everybody has cried at some time in their life for
no reason that they could understand.

Oooh...Seven Samurai, I hear that...I think you saw me cry when we watched
that Merry.
Princess Mononoke...I hope I got this down right, but theres a really
bittersweet little song throughout the movie...beautifully orchestrated.
In the moonlight I saw your heart
Quiver like a bowstrings pull
In the moons pale light you looked at me
Nobody knows your heart
All of your sorrow, grief and pain
Locked away in the forest of the night.
Your secret heart
Belongs to the world
And the things that call in the dark
And the things that cry in the dark
Like the blade of a knife so sharp so sweet
Nobody knows your heart.
...you know, looking at it now I think I might have gotten it out of order,
but even then it makes me choke up.
Now we have all these reasons for crying, but I wonder if anyones done it
for no reason at all? I've done it here or there I imagine...

Well. I know that I cry when some part of me is broken. There are other
things that get me all sobby, but I can't really think of them right now.
Maybe it will all come back to me soon. |

I think that one of the movies that just chokes me up everytime is
Kurosawa's RAN. For some reason every time I see that I get to the end,
which is so simple, and stark compared to the rest of the film, and I am
crying and depressed for just hours afterwards, it really chokes me up.
It's one of the most powerful films on the planet and a very good watch.
I also get chocked up everytime I listen to Cat Power. I think I've
mention, but I wanted to share... This is from No Sense off the Album Moon
Pix, and it makes me bawl every time.
Do you remember
Do you remember
That night at context
Making up shit
Like we were animals
We made no sense
No sense
We had no sex
Can you see, can you see, can you see
Can you see, can you see, can you see
The moon is so hollow
What's the use
When I can see right through you
What's the use
All the hearts that touch your cheek
How they jump they move they embarrass
All the hearts that touch your cheek
How they jump they move they embarrass
They make no sense, no sense, no sense
No sense, we had no sex ____________________ It's like kegel exercises for your throat.~Monolycus |

This line from a song by Eminem always tears me up. Its not really the
music, but the mental image that I get from it... *begins to sob just
thinking about it*
"More pain inside o' my brain, in the eyes of a little girl inside of a
plane
Aimed at the world trade" god i'm such a baby.... oh, and bettie you are so
right about that johnny cash video "hurt" I almost turned into a blubbering
idiot when i saw it at work for the first time... |

I know I keep coming back to the same fucking song, but if you'd LISTEN to
it you'd know what I"m saying...but anyway.
If you've ever wanted to know what it feels like to literally have your
heart burst in your chest, find the video Johnny Cash shot for "hurt".
The song itself is wrenching enough...but god the video.
Even the choppy internet version.
It's soul stripping.
I don't know why...but it's just soul stripping. ____________________ Trapped in time. Surrounded by evil. Low on gas. |

Ooh, got a new one...Merry Widow got me my favorite book for christmas ( I
think it was christmas) it's called Spangle, by Gary Jennings. Pretty good
sized book...and I reread it again for the first time in like, three or
four years...I knew the ending, I cried the first time I read it...and the
second, and the third, etc. This time was no exception, and for some
reason, I didn't just cry...I damn near wept. I've never really wept
before...it was kinda' refreshin' ya know? ____________________ In the valley of the Goats, the Goat Fucker is King |

I was trying to walk down a sidewalk one day, and this old woman was
driving hers like she was drunk. I kept trying to get around her, but she
always cut me off. I was completely confounded, I mean, she was only going
like .05 mph, I should have been able to just zip right past her. ____________________ Sometimes I dream about dinosaurs shopping for cargo shorts at the Gap.

Those motorized chairs are dangerous alright. *shivers thinking about how
they hurt like a bitch if they hit you...or run over your foot...yikes*
It's easy to want to cry when older people start telling you of all the
things they've been through. To look at someone, you just never know what
sort of life they've had. I love hearing the stories they tell. Some of the
meekest and most tame looking people have had some of the most adventurous
lives. I sometimes don't know if I want to cry from the sadness they tell
you about in their past, or if it's sort of a happy want to cry feeling,
because of the fact that they've made it through so brilliantly to still be
around and surviving. ____________________ "When choosing between two evils, I always like to try the one I've never

Old people just rule...I adore them. Especially WWII and vets of other
wars. I've found they tend to strike up conversations easily.
One time I almost left the dentist's in tears (I wasn't the only one,
michael was in for some work! *driiilllll*) because I was outside smoking
and this guy (he was about 50ish I think) was out there smoking too waiting
for his daughters apt to be done, and he started in on my tattoo, then
showed me his tattoo, faded and blotchy from years and years ago. It was a
skull with a sword through it over a blue shield. He said that only 13
other guys had this tattoo, and he was the last. Then he told me his war
story, we got back to tattoos again. I said that maybe he should have it
touched up, bring it back to life. He then told me that maybe some things
shouldn't be brought back to life after years of trying to put it to death.
We talked some more, a long time really. I told him I thought that
bringing it back to life was a grand way of remembering his old friends,
painful or not, a little personal tribute to the boys he shared a part of
his life with. He thanked me for listening, and I thanked him for talking,
and as he left with his kid said "you know, maybe I'll look around and see
who I can find to maybe do a little work on that arm of mine...never
thought of it that way. maybe not such a bad idea afterall..."
I went inside and burried my head in a magazine.
I love old people. Especially when they tell you that you look like their
childhood girl
But don't EVER take one up on an offer to ride on the back of their
motorized chair...they only look meek and harmless.

Not being able to watch the Simpsons? THAT would make me cry.
I think you can still watch the show over the net, you can watch DBZ
online. I'll do some searching and see. ____________________ but at least you know, just how much pain there is in living |
