I was researching Wicca on the web and out of the blue, this article
happens to be on the results:
http://www.landoverbaptist.org/news0702/wiccans.html
My thoughts on this site is this: How ignorant can someone be? Or better
yet, how bored can someone be? A more polite set of questions for asking
how hypocritical this person is.
Nothing against faiths, spirituality, and/or religion in general, but as
far as this individual goes, this is doing a several things:
-Making me tempted to bash King James over some Bible thumper's head.
-Tempting me to find this guy and smack him for disturbing the peace.
-Tempting me to find this guy and paint a giant nazi symbol on his
house.
-In irony, chuckle politely from the mere amusement of someone's desire to
be totally ignorant...but at the same time twitch in paranoia.
-Makes me continue to wonder how hateful people can be. :/
Everyone's going to have their thoughts, my over all conclusion about this
fanatical document is......
According to this site, I'm the anti-Christ. *snickers*

I wouldn't take it too seriously...something tell me thats a parody. If it
isn't...thats sad, if it is, thats Hilarious.
Honestly though...does it really surprise you if it is real? I mean, call
me a strange sort of optimist...but is crap like this really THAT
unusual?
Me personally, I have a feeling it's a joke...intentional or otherwise.
You should look up some of the Jack Chick stuff too...he's Hilarious, AND
he's serious. ____________________ In the valley of the Goats, the Goat Fucker is King |

Uh...if you poke around a bit....you'll find that site is indeed, a
joke.
As Dolo already beat me to the punch, I won't bring up Chick in depth. But
I will say he is a misinformed bastard. Grrr.... ____________________ Okay, dazzle me. |

The article is very obviously meant satirically, and it is one of the
funnier parodies I have read in a very long time. Thank you for mentioning
it, Anya. The only people who seem to be mocked by the article and really
have any cause to be offended by it would be Southern Baptists... but then,
there is very little in this world about which they can't find
something to offended.

That article is hilarious. I have to download the whole site when I've got
the time for it. ____________________ "A cynic is a man who knows the price of everything and the value of

Initially, I was offended for it did start off like it was..well...like a
neo-nazi deciding to become a religious fascist. But then I kept reading
and came to the "wearing black" and was all, "What the Hell?" It was
amusing in the sense that it seemed quite juvenile and/or silly, but was a
-tiny- bit irritating due to the fact that I know of a lot of people who
think like that.
They're totally inaccurate though if it was seriously meant for real
propaganda. I know a couple Wiccans and they do NOT do that stuff.
As said before, with all these other descriptions, I'd be considered an
anti-Christ to those who really believe this article. |

At first I thought it was for real. With lines like "christian moles" and
"sanctuary basement" I got a lil worried. Then I saw one the side adds
flashing "surf the net with Jesus" and Jesus was useing the cross as a surf
board. I began to crack up. ____________________ co-worker: "Your gay!?"

There was another site that tried to give the same message somewhere, but
it wasn't as abrupt so I shrugged and continued browsing. I'm wondering if
the book it advertises is a fake too...... |

wow that was quite vividly described
props to the journalist
i also could help but laugh my anus off at this article
it amused me so
I loved how they addressed her as "The Devil's harlot"
classic
Oh this is good
“Wicca, is just a fancy word that insecure unsaved teenagers who hate their
parents use to describe their little club.” Landover Baptist has thousands
of Christian moles placed in covens, chat rooms, and schools all across
America. “They feed us some pretty gruesome stuff about Wiccans,”said
Pastor Deacon Fred. "From what we can gather, like Jewish people, Wiccans
kidnap Christian children and drink their blood to seal their commitment to
Satan."
Yes Jews and Wiccans feast on the blood of your stillborn babies
FLEE!
To be truthful, your psychotically christian kids are better off being
kidnapped and sucked dry than growing up to be in the KKK
I swear the Christians haven't changed since the fucking Puritan times
this seems a bit close to The Crucible
But to pass the time, why dont we copy wright an adjectve for ourselves;

I'm somewhat a Christian myself, but I find myself agreeing with you,
guttersnipe. A lot of the "Witchhunt" trend hasn't disappeared yet. On my
behalf, I somewhat find it sad, but I cannot change how people think - I
can merely only express opinions.
I was thinking, "Okay someone got really bored and decided to blame someone
for the twisted views of faith out there" until I came to the "Like the
Jews" part. That's what kind of gave me the idea of, "Yay, a nazi!"
Then I kept reading along...not sure if I told about this in this forum
thread yet, but they're all of a sudden saying Wiccans and Satan
worshippers "wear black to show their allegience to the Devil!" *shakes
head* I wear black all of the time and find myself more sociopathic than
most and now I'm finding myself labeled as the anti-Christ on this
article.
Heh...enough of that. As I said, it first offended me for I know of many
people who think like that...then it went over my head and I just had to
laugh.
The "True Christians" thing, though, was kind of another blow off. I could
try to piss them off and start using their dogma against them, but I might
get shot.

Witch hunts come and witch hunts go. They've dug up old Joe McCarthy
recently and given him a good dusting off as well. I lived through bell
bottoms once, twice, three times a lady, so I'm not surprised to see any
old atrocity slip in and out of fashion.
Anyway, I understand where Abbadon is coming from although it's not that
the crispety-crunchety Christians have any kind of monopoly on fantastic
fanaticism. For far too many, an organised religion helps them to deal
with reality by keeping them from ever having anything to do with it.
Isn't just theological pursuits either... anytime you find yourself saying
"I'm good because..." and can only follow it up with "...I'm not one of
those guys over there", you might want to take a moment to re-think things.
Then again, if you were the type to have thought things through once, you
probably wouldn't have found yourself making those mistakes in the first
place.
Take a moment to laugh about the silly spiritualists and how their blind
faith gives them the cozy comfort of a virtual lobotomy. Then turn on your
music, some piece of "reality" television, pop a few pills or smoke a few
herbs or just cozy up to a nice, stiff drink, and stop thinking about it.
After all, you're better than those guys because... well, just because.
