What's been pissing me off recentlly is i bought a pair of guys jeans caz
their alot more comfy and now people are calling me a transvestite. It's
gay, what do they want me to do....wear some short ass skirt that covers
less then a forth of my thigs when that shit doesn't look good on me.
Society is just sick. If guys want to wear girls cloting, i dun have a
problem with it, if girls want to wear guys clothing who cares? Guys
clothes are much more comfy the tight jeans that ride up ur ass.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

A transvestite?! Hmm, what people are calling you this? Its understandable
that many guys like to see girls in short skirts - hey, I like to
see girls in short skirts - but I've never come across a girl being called
a transvestite, of all things, before. A tomboy perhaps, but its all about
feeling comfortable and looking good... if you think you look crappy with
your legs on show, I dont see whats wrong with covering up, if it makes you
look even sexier. Bah. My advice, though very cliched, would be to 'just
ignore it'... I see girls wearing guys clothes all the time and theres not
a damn thing wrong with it.

I wear guy's jeans because THEY FIT ME BETTER. I do not have a giant ass
and an itty bitty waist that starts at my armpits, nor do I have the
attractive hips and belly to pull off super tight lowriders. I will not
wear anything that has any sort of elastic on it if it's not my pajamas.
Guys jeans are cut just right for me. Low waist, but not LOW low
bootyliscious, cut STRAIGHT from hip to ankle...just like ME.
The hillarious bit is I wore girl's clothes in highschool and I was a
"dyke" (I'm always the last to know *sigh*) and now, I occasionally DO wear
men's things when they fit or look good, and I haven' had ANYONE think I
was a lesbian so far.
It's a ploy to irritate you, one more fascet of your personality for them
to attack, one more invented reason for them to dislike you, so they can
shove it. If they want to hold a preconception that all lesbians are man
size deisle dykes with buzzcuts and baggy men's jeans, then let them
because chances are some day they'll run into one, piss her off, and get
pounded. I should know, I know quite a few and I"ve seen them in action,
it's not pretty.
You can always use the line I used to when someone would say something like
that to me....

I have guys jeans. I like guys jeans. You're right - guys jeans are way
more comfy than girls jeans!! I bought them because they're baggy and I
like that, but I do like tighter trousers as well. Having said that I
normally wear trousers that are either baggy or flared at the bottom
because they flatter my shape more. I've been told that I look fine in
drain pipe trousers, but I don't feel comfortable. I think that if you feel
comfortable and not self conscious in what you're wearing you'll look
better in it because you won't be trying to hide yourself, worried of how
you look. I think Bettie's advice is dead on - tell them they're jealous
and then walk off laughing while they're there dumbfounded.

I always considered the development of your own style as a big part of
"being goth" (whatever that means). Also I think that there are a lot of
girls and women out there who look way better in jeans than in skirts,
simply because they seem to fit better to their character.

I will also confess for a fondness for men's pants - army cargo pants!
Cheap, durable, and comfortable, and makes this poor buttless girl look
like she actually has an ass! Hooray for bulky pockets! When paired with
a tight t-shirt, it makes me look quite satisfyingly curvaceous, instead of
the "recent mother" look that I try to avoid.
The problem may not be the pants, but what you pair them with. If you wear
your men's pants with a masculine-styled shirt, you may be thought
dyke-ish, whereas if you don a feminine-styled, or at least tight, shirt,
tomboy is more likely to be the epithet used. Which I consider a
compliment.
My personal rule is tight pants with a loose shirt, and loose pants with a
tight shirt. And raid the men's sections (and army-navy stores!) with
impunity!
My 10 month old daughter wears boys clothes alot, too, and there is
sometimes some gender confusion, but not much. But I'd much rather have
her wear cars and bugs and rocket ships than flowers and hearts, and red
and orange are much nicer on her than pink and purple!

That's odd. In Spain, jeans are considered unisex cloothing. My sister wars
mines once and again (one of them, the other two are far too slim)- And
besides I like women in men's clothing. Specially when it's my shirt and
nothing else they are wearing

It's not that tight fitting clothes and short skirts don't look good on me,
they do....but I feel much more comfortable in baggy jeans. Sometimes I
even mix styles...like last night....I was moshing with my friends in guys
jeans and a corsette. Clothes, aside from covering up your skin, don't
serve much other purpose. But meh.....I'd rather run around in my Pjays
then wear the latest fashion anyday! (basically I sleep in white t-shirts
and boxers)
I like wearing guys boxers to sleep in, and around the house. Although I
love getting all dressed up, I guess most people would find it more
comfortable to be wearing jeans... so I also have the habit of mixing
styles, like you said, trousers with a corset, as long as it doesnt look
totally random.

I just had the shopping in the men's department full explaination thing
this weekend. I guess I'd thought that my husband new why I kept bitching
about how my ass is not big enough for the women's jeans that I had. I
finally got tired of them and decided that I was going to go back to what I
used to do...which is buy jeans in the men's department. That's what I'd
always done for years...then I don't know when or why it happened but I got
lured into buying women's pants. Probably from too many women around at the
time and me falling to peer pressure. *sad sad stuff* Well anyways after
going and picking up some ladies black jeans and going over to the men's
department and getting my waist size in men's black jeans.....I proceeded
to give a visual explaination of "notice how the women's legs appear to be
larger than the men's in these pants...all the way up through the ass and
hips?"...yes yes I see..."Well now check out how much smaller the waist is
in the women's one by comparison"...shock
awe...realization..........."Nowwwwwwww....do you see why I didn't make a
wrong turn when I went into the men's department first?"...*smiles*...I'm
not built like a boy but for whatever reason men's jeans are what fit me
best...and I look plenty female when I wear them.

I wear boy clothes all the time. And most of them I gank straight from
someone elses closet. None of this cop out buying yer own crap. They fit 20
times better when they are stolen from the ones you love!

Horay fer mens pants! mens pants fit me better as well! i'm sorry I am NOT
gonna shove myself into some tight ass pants that give me camel toe! and I
can't stand when people wear clothes that just dont fit them well and half
the time they know that the clothes don't fit them well! I wear whats
comfy.....usually its a big baggy pair of pants or a nice fitting pair of
flares and usually a big black band t shirt of some sorts. Who Care wear
what you want.........there is no sense in wasting money on something you
feel uncomfy wearing!

Alright...my stance on girls in boy's clothes? It's cool!
Merry steals mine all the damn time...and she looks pretty cute in 'em.
I think it's funny how girls can look good in girls clothes and boys
clothes...and most boys look really silly in girls clothes. (Although I
understand I ain't bad in a little summer dress).
'sides...the comfort thing I can totally grok. Wear what you Will and let
that be the whole of the law.

various boys... concert T's, flannels, one was a sweatshirt that had the
arms cut off... and I steal Rogue's sweatpants all the time.. his relatives
give him about three pairs every christmas...

I wear guys boxers to bed, and I like to wear some guys shirts, but I
really don't have any guys to steal clothing from, but if I did, I would.
I used to wear my brother in laws Wranglers because they fit me, and made
my ass look nice....then I got to fat for them....I have a pair of plaid
bondage pants which are made for guys. They are 32 waist....not
bad....comfy as hell...and I wear "guys" shoes...my converse with flames on
them....
