Well, it's that time of year again. The time when everybody puts on their
fancy dress and either pukes from the OD of candy corn, or from the alcohol
at the party.
My question is, what is everybody wearing/doing.
I've got a few options before me as it stands now. A friend about an hour
north of State College(and yes, in PA there is a town called that.) is
having an anime themed party, which promises to have lots of booze and
pre-marital sex, and as we all know, that leads to slasher attacks, but
that's for another thread. If I go there I think I'll go as some kind of
Hentia tentacle monster.
If I don't go there, I'll either be at Masquerade 6 or at a concert in
State College that some friends of mine are playing/DJ'ing at.
If I don't do the tentacle pr0n thing, it looks like I'll be in drag.
Buying a vinyl mini skirt, gonna get some fishnets, and heels. I'll be the
sexxiest hairy woman at the club...
Just need to find some undies, I don't think that boxers will work under
the skirt, maybe Ican find a nice man-thong to wear...

Fool... I went as drag last year...
Or at least that's what everybody thought.
Anyway, this year will probably be the same, or no costume at all. I want
to go to Shipwreck*, a party on the good ship Queen Mary, here in Long
Beach. Mazes, Dance, Rock, etc, all for a moderate 25 bucks...
But that will probably take some rearranging of my schedule, -and- some
cooperation from my friends (they never seem to be able to coordinate
anything).
*There's a web page out there, but I'm too lazy to look it up and post it.
But referring to Xaoswolf... I'd rather see the tentacled creature... If I
squint just right, I should be able to see what IamSquid looks like. So
it'll be like a double picture, and...
uh...
Alright... give us the drag one!
:p

I have no idea what I'm doing as I'm not the 'costume' type. I have to
start dressing it up at work to sell halloween shit, so maybe I'll cop out
like I did last year and just get plain old balls out ho'ed up. Bust out
the absinthe and cloves, bettie's pullin out her fancies.
Or I"m gonna buy some glue on horns and be the devil. You cant go wrong
with the devil.
Dunno...still thinkin...just gettin' ho'ed up is a bit easier. Maybe I'll
be a ho'ed up devil. Yeah.......ugh I'm just dreading an 8 hr workday in
bitchboots. *cringe*

God damn it!
I'm booking a ticket back to the US of A, because no matter what they (or
all of you) say bad about the place, you've got there the good way of
celebrating Halloween...

I'm fairly certian that the bad way involves some shaven rodents and a tub
of vasaline. But then again, I could be wrong.

Apart from the shaven rodents and vaseline (!) the wrong way also includes
large amounts of nothingness. The UK seems not to celebrate Halloween the
same way as the USA. The only festive part about it is the getting egged
and people flour-bombing *everything*. Wooo. <- Sarcasm.

Hey... that's the way Halloween -used- to be over here, too!
"Trick or treat" meant something!
"Gimme candy or your house is gettin' a economy-size carton of eggs shoved
up its doorstep, bitch!" is roughly the translation... Ain't that fun! --
Also note the sarcasm.
*looking up shipwreck on the web* C'mon... gotta go to shipwreck...
*anxious*
Don't forget flaming dog shit on the doorstep.
and toiletpapering everything in sight.
I remember when pumpkin smashing was the big thing, and if you didn't want
your carefully carved squash to be...well...squashed you had to bring it in
after dark, which is sort of stupid because jackolanters are OUTSIDE fun
stuff.

Yeah, when I was younger, the street on the way to school used to be
COVERED with broken pumpkins the morning after. My brother and I used to
have fun breaking up the half-broken pumpkins...
Ah good ol' naughtiness...
My parents didn't put the pumpkin outside at all, even. We kept ours in the
kitchen window. Much safer, obviously.

So very sad here. I am not allowed to get all dolled up and go out
trick-or-treating because my parents think I am too old. My mother(whom I
don't live with) believes I should still be able to go, but back here at
the ol' homestead I can't. I have made a compromise(somewhat) with my
parents to either allow me to watch whatever movies I want(by myself) on
Halloween, or wait 'til that weekend and invite friends over to watch them
with me. I believe that it should be a rule of thumb anyway that if
Halloween falls during the week, it should be reserved until the weekend
like other Holidays. What does everyone else think about that?

I dont' think so, because it would take away the fun of it. It's
halloween, oct 31st, and it wouldn't be the same on any other day.
Besides, for some folks it's a legitimate religious holiday, and having it
"bumped over" to accomodate others who don't see it as a religious thing
but an excuse to get dolled up and mess around and not have to go to school
the next day would be rather insulting to them, I think. It's like if you
suggested moving xmas...oh wait, you don't have to ...that's a "legitimate"
holiday...I forgot *snicker*
Just wait until you're out on your own, make the best of it. When you're
taking care of yourself you can do what you want and it won't matter what
day of the week halloween falls on *Grin*
I always have to work, but that's okay, because kids trickortreat in the
mall so I get to sit outside my store and fork over candy to little
darlings in funny outfits which is RAD!

I might go as a peasant girl for halloween. No, everyone's doing that.
I'll just stand in the shadows and scare kids into giving me their candy so
I won't have to go up to somebody's door. I seem to be creative every day
accept for halloween..*shrug* It'll probably be freezing rain here anyway
or snowing. I could set myself on fire and go as a torch! I could set
someone else on fire. What's better?

I'm decorating the house, and making a pinyata and having a Halloween
party... it's what I do every year. The kiddies like it and have lot s of
fun, and there's no wandering about in the cold... they get lots of candy
and treats, and play with the strobe light... One year, Krysten was running
about and forgot a wall was there and ran right into it at full speed and
knocked out a tooth. It was ready to come out anyway, so it wasn't a huge
deal... We still use the strobe light, we just don't allow running
anymore...

tehcno, strobe lights and black lights. I would run into walls and mirrors
all the time, not at full speed though. Walking forever until breaking
something. Hehe..or running into someone. I loved that.
