Again I am at a loss as to what a "fake goth" is. I do not see how someone
can be goth at heart. Goth is a stereotype. Its a way of dressing. Its
people still trapped in the aftermath of teen angst, or art fags, or people
who just think it looks pretty (im sure there are more). Goth is not a
state of mind. Being goth does not make you a unique and individual
snowflake. So why is it bad (as stated in "Back in Black?") that this style
of dress is popular. Last year is was animal prints, this year its all
black.
For example, I became "goth" when i got compliments on wearing black quite
often, when i saw some other goths and went ´wow, that looks really pretty.
i want to be pretty like that´. is there something shameful about that? So
if i dont listen to bauhaus, get sad over my dying rat, or come up with
catchy titles like "jesus in the life of a cigarette" im a fake or a
newbie? You guys here act more like the ravers ive met than most goths i
know...
Get your self some goddamn glow sticks and talk about plur somewhere
else....

I´m confused. When did anyone attack you or say you were a "fake goth"? Did
a lot of people in the shmeng community do this to you? It seems like you
are acting like the entire website of people attacked you as a gestalt,
hence why you bashed us all. I ask this because it seems you are being
offensive in order to be defensive from someone else´s action.
As for what “goth” is, no one here really cares. Goth is like being awake.
So what, there is nothing special about it. However I am still confused on
where you get the gall to approach people here at random, without
justifiable cause and fling shmeng. No one called you a fake or newbie, so
why did you attack bettie_x about a personal issue? That was a shitty thing
to do.
People come to this website to express their distaste for people or events
creating shit in their lives. Instead of respecting that, you have come to
this site and created more unwelcome, unwanted shit. Hence why I personally
feel why you are not welcome here. This has nothing to do with your
clothing or your opinions, it has to do with your shitty personality, total
disregard for other’s feelings, the way you approach things, and your
thoughtless actions.
If I may, I would like to direct you to the post by Devin, called "The New
Laws" it is under the "This website" topic. I hope in this situation Devin
will enforce these laws. This is not for me to enforce for I do not own
this site, nor do I decide if you stay or not. But you should know that
this is not your website as well, and it is a privilege to be here, so try
being nice.

I´m not entirely sure what your damage here is, Sin. Did someone call you a
"nay-so-goth" goth? I didn´t catch it. Anyway, there is forum after forum
dedicated to the age old question "What is goth?" (The guy in the saffron
robes said that goth is a bowl of cherries. I didn´t get it either.), and
I´ll be chuggered if I know what it is. That is why I ordinarily just keep
clear of these debates rather than throw my ignorance on the table and
shine a spotlight on it. I am not a goth (nor am I an "I-am-not-a-goth"
goth... work that out and get back to me), I wouldn´t know a Bauhaus if it
came up and bit me, I think I saw a raver once but it might have been a
fire hydrant... anyway, my point is:
Stick your shiny goth label on your lapel and get over yourself. If
somebody questions your gothitude, that is somebody else´s problem. If you
disagree with the shiny labels that everyone is putting on everyone else,
make a little note of it and move on... it does not warrant undermining
somebody else´s pain (the cheap shot at Bettie over her pet was absolutely
uncalled for... unless you are suggesting that only "real" goths can
express sorrow or sympathy in which case you are neither goth nor poseur,
simply a garden variety jackass). I don´t care who is goth and who is not,
nor do I care who thinks I might be or not. If you think I am a poser,
poseur, or poster, I will sleep just the same. I would really like to
suggest that you do as well. I am, I was, I will be
just this guy, you know?

not. What gives you ANY god damn right to attack another person OR judge
them? Especially one who did NOT say anything to personally assault you?

Ok, you just contradicted yourself. You just said that goth is a
stereotype. You’ve stated that goth is a style for “art fags” and it is not
real. Then you’ve stated that you know real “goths.” From what I just read,
there are no “real goths.”
So, what is a “raver” then? What state of mind makes a raver? PLEASE
illuminate us all with your wise and all knowing mudslinging!
Also, even if there are “art fags” here (or anywhere) doesn’t mean that you
have any god damn right to insult their choice of personal lifestyle.
Moving on:
Back in Black, if you read between the lines, was taken as a JOKE. It had a
humorous underlining threwout the whole thread. Maybe you sense of humor is
dry in that area, next time try to open your eyes alittle more.
This entire site has a humorous tone to it. People here do not take
themselves as serious as you do. This is a forum which people come to
express feelings, thoughts or hold a intelligent causal conversation.

Ummm...Im in the Navy...so in the winter time we wear winter blues (which
are really black, but its the military..go fig) so when everyone on this
base in the winter is wearing that...does that mean they are goth...heh..i
think not...thinking your a goth is one thing, acting the part another.
I am ME. Nothing more, nothing less.
And so by attacking this community...you are also attacking some fo the
people that arent goths.

Just to join the Sin bashing (whiplash), Sin, what exactly is going on? Are
you crying out for attention? Are you really as bitter and angry as you
seem? Do you really think there is something to be gained by flinging
shmeng? I had forgotten just how much of a troll you were until Callei
reminded me of your past posts in the forums. Your three whole comments on
articles have ben poorly thought out or trivial at best, and as far as I
can tell...you´re wasting my oxygen thinking about ways to piss us off.
If you want a teensy bit of advice, don´t attack people in pain. Even if
they are still too wrung out to fight back; most of them have friends. Now
this may not be true of you. If you are anything like this in the flesh I
suspect the only ´friends´ you have are back-stabbing, untrustworthy,
catty...well, let´s just say you are probably a clone of them. The whole
WIG (What is Goth) issue has not and will never be settled. It´s a mental
excercise we love to indulge in because the whole idea of "goth" is harder
to define than some of the other super-social paradyms under which we might
fall. However I will say that claiming Goth is just a stereotype (and
somehow therefore is not a valid self-definition) is something to which
you are uniquely unqualified to do. Not because I think you are not goth,
but because you have proven you are not thinking. Stop wasting our time,
stop insulting us and our friends, stop using air that could be fueling a
perfectly nice grass fire in your home town; and stop pretending that you
have spent enough time thinking to have a name. ____________________

To be fair, I´m new here, and I still haven´t seen everything on this site.
But nowhere, absolutely nowhere, did I see such a rude, bitter,
self-serving, random attack on people. Nor have I seen personal attacks.
What´s your gripe with bettie_x? Are you jealous because she can string

It´s quite amusing to read DarkMistress´ last Story after having read Sin´s
ramble...
I can´t help but feel sorry for Sin. It must be horrible to feel compelled
to read evrything on a webiste that obviously has no meaning to him/her.
Maybe it is a little like being tied up in front of a TV-set with only
Married With Children re-runs.
