I was thinking of all the stupid things I am afraid of last night. Itīs
amazing the thoughts that copious amounts of rum and cream soda can bring
to mind.
I wanna know all the stupid, inane, and utterly foolish things that make
your skin crawl or make you squeak like a girl. Iīll go first.
Dinosaurs:
Not in museums, not even the computer generated movie ones on the discovery
channel, but ones that chase people and eat people in the movies. THIS is
by far my most ridiculous one, as there is absolutely NO chance whatsoever
that Iīm going to be put in a position to be chased OR eaten by a dinosaur.
Jurassic park I-III gave me nightmares for WEEKS.
Clowns:
This is because my dad had no regard for movie ratings and rented me killer
clowns from outer space when I was 5. Also, that serial killer that
painted clowns, the clown from IT, pervert clowns, monster alien
clowns...probably because theyīre so garish and overblown and surreal and
are supposed to be begnin entertainers of children at birthday parties, but
seldom are. They hide in sewers.
Sharks:
Iīve always been afraid of going in the ocean because of sharks, and after
watching shark week on the discovery channel Iīm never going in the fucking
ocean again. I donīt wanna hurt sharks, I just donīt wanna get eaten. And
yes, jaws gave me horrid nightmares all throughout my younger years and
even today.
The Dark:
With a capitol D. Yes, Iīm afraid of the dark. Especially the dark in the
woods when Iīm in my parents house and they have big fat windows that let
me see every nook and cranny of the big scary woods. Iīm afraid of the
dark in my closet (ALWAYS closed at nighttime sometimes with shoes piled up
in front to trip any marauding monsters), under my bed (I leap), and
especially the bathroom (monsters are fond of toilets).
Potato bugs:
īCause theyīre like little creepy armadillos and an awful shade of gray.
Nothing should have translucent legs.
Death:
Not so much the actual being dead part, īcause it can go only one of two
ways really, something or nothing, and if thereīs something then Iīll
obviously have something to keep myself occupied, and if thereīs nothing
then I wonīt know so who cares.
Itīs the method of getting there that creeps me out.

I'm afraid of the rider lawnmower things, except I have to use one. Once
the breaks went out and I slammed into a tree and the thing threw me off
into big thorny bushes. I don't like crayfish either. ____________________ "Pity no one was there

I'm scared of snakes, but it's controllable. I hate those bugs that look
like daddy-long-legs crossed with mosquitos. I'm terrified of Beethoven's
6th (?) symphony, the one with the thunderstorm in it. I hate clowns - I
will never allow one to come near my daughter. I'm sure they're all
molesters! (I mean, I know in my head they aren't, but I can't shake that
feeling when I'm around them.) Those big municipal snowplows really freak
me out. I get really claustrophobic in the slummy suburbs of a big city -
I feel like I'll never get out. Sometimes when I'm walking alone in the
dark, I'm sure that SOMETHING is following me! |

OOo I forgot my ultimate nemisis...
LAKE WEEDS.
You know those big ass stringly seaweed looking things in deep muddy lakes.
I hate the way they feel against my legs and feet, and I always think
theyīre gonna wind around my legs, pull me down, and put me in their people
garden at the bottom.
and sticking my hand into holes.
dead bugs. I hate finding little paper dry corpses. I hate stepping on
them. I scream. *eek* ____________________ Trapped in time. Surrounded by evil. Low on gas. |

Man this is getting good. Iīm glad Iīm not the ONLY PERSON IN THE FUCKING
WORLD WHOīS AFRAID OF DINOSAURS!!!!! Iīm sooo going to tell my husband
that so heīll leave me alone!!
I dontī like porcelain dolls either....my grandma got me one every xmas for
years...I put them up in my room because I loved grandma. Scared the shit
out of me nightly.
Years later my mom came in and saw all those demon dolls facing the wall on
the top of my big ass bookcase and was like "why are all your dolls facing
the wrong way? Were they bad? *joking*"
"mom, you have NO IDEA"
I also had a cookie monster doll when I was little...little blue fucker
used to sit there in the dark over my head and roll itīs eyes and open and
shut itīs mouth at me all frigginī night. I hate that cookie monster
doll.
Iīm afraid of mirrors too. I did that bloody mary thing when I was
little....I still canīt go into that bathroom...which was great when we
moved out of the house that contained the "contaminated" bathroom, but now
it sort of sucks because I just moved back INTO the same house a couple of
days ago....*eek* ____________________ Trapped in time. Surrounded by evil. Low on gas. |

Lesse.. Little spiders scare the bajazus out of me. (Canīt see where they
go or if theyīre gone/dead, or crawling on ye... *shiver*)
Maggots.. not so much fear as a weird crawling feeling on my skin.
Death/unconsciousness. The idea of not existing, not being able to think or
be aware freaks me out beyond belief.
Loss of sight.. Not being able to read or see where Iīm going would quickly
drive me mad I believe.. I already had to get glasses this year and itīs
getting to where theyīre not that big a help.. *making me nervous.. i do
not care to be blind..*
The little swirlys/hallucinations in the dark. I dun know what they are but
they freak me out..
I think thatīs it.. ____________________ I'm defective! |

Clowns donīt really scare me, but I feel uncomfertable around them.
Darkness indoors scares me if I am alone, but not if I am outdoors. I hate
touching pure cotton cause of the feeling and the sound when you squeese
it... and here comes my most ridicolous fear... butterflies. Yes,
butterflies. I love spiders and I am not afraid of any insect, but
butterflies. I used to be scared of spiders and such too, but I overcame it
and now I even want a tarantula, and can calmly pick a spider of my friends
if itīs on them. But I canīt stand butterflies... I dunno why, cause they
canīt do me any harm in the world. Iīm not scared of moths either, just
butterflies with them colorful wings and small, yucky legs, and long
antennas. *shrugs* ____________________ ~The World Can Continue It's Excistence Without Mankind... But What Happens

On a side note, somehow, a while back, I got stuck in a conversation on the
topic of the phobia where men have a fear of the clitoris as a oral object.
If anyone can "name that phobia", Iīd be much amused and maybe I have
aspare quarter I can toss you to get some Bazooka Joe. ____________________ Make way for the bad guy! |

I could be mean and remind you that it wonīt just crush your hand, but
probably shear it off as you pass between floors leaving a gruesome if not
comical group of fingers protruding from the top of the elevator door.
Instead Iīll remind you of the little Open Door button under the buttons
for the floor. I believe itīs normall in the lower right... ____________________ Sometimes I dream about dinosaurs shopping for cargo shorts at the Gap.

This is an odd one but every time I get on an elevator I hope no one comes
running up as the door is closing and I have to hold the door for them, I
get paranoid and think that when I stick my hand out to hold the door it
will keep going and squish my hand if I donīt pull it back in time. ____________________ l33t is the bastard cousin of contractions. |

Spiders are great. They kill annoying bugs and such. I have a few crawling
around in my room and they really did help the bug problem out. *then i
realized that my window was broke and fixed that, hence the bug problem was
forever fixed*
Bloody Mary, maybe if I had enough to drink Iīd do it...
Little clown dolls are just strange to me really, they have that "Iīm going
to club you and eat your bones" grin on their faces...like that one doll
from Poltgergiest. *right spelling?* ____________________

I loved Jeepers Creepers. Especially the ending. If some big monster
thing attacked me, Iīd probably kill it with lightening bolts from my
brain, or the big flaming sword that I store in my chest, because Iīm a
firm believer that if there really are monsters under my bed, and they are
after me, then there has to be a reason that they havenīt attacked me,
mainly my beat ass super powers.
Sure Iīm a bit dulisional, but hey, it just makes me more interesting at
parties... ____________________ Sometimes I dream about dinosaurs shopping for cargo shorts at the Gap.

Oh I know! I donīt want to loose my mind when Iīm old either. Iīd rather
be like the women on the show Golden Girls where they have good health and
all. The oldest lady is around 85 or something and shes in perfect
condition mentally. *shudder* my mom is already loosing her mind and sheīs
45 (lol) well sheīs going deaf too... ____________________ "Pity no one was there

Clowns - Iīm fine with. Mirrors - also fine, I did the Bloody Mary thing
just to prove my friend wrong and I never saw a thing. Heights Iīm okay
with, although I tend to have a rather annoying compulsion to jump off of
whatever tall thing I happen to be on. Donīt know why.
What I am scared of though - dinosaurs and stuff like the thing in Jeepers
Creepers. I see those things in the dark, lurking in the shadows for days,
weeks after I watch one of their films. I got so freaked out after watching
Jurassic Park, where he said the T-rex couldnīt see you if you stayed still
that I just lay in bed not moving a millimeter for about 5 hours.
Spiders - Too many legs, too many eyes and just so damn creepy. If I see
one anywhere in my room I have to get my boyfriend to kill it or throw it
out of the window because if he doesnīt I wonīt be able to sleep. Iīll just
lie there thinking īItīs crawling under the quilt.ī I can even convince
myself that I can feel it.
Losing my mind - getting old and going senile scares the shit out of me.
Thinking about it just gives me the shivers. The fact that I might end up
in some home somewhere with no-one I know (or at least remember) around me.
Like this old woman I used to know was living in the 1950īs. She thought
her sons (all fully grown men) were just children and kept on calling out
for them to come home for tea. Iīd sooner kill myself than lose my mind. I
wouldnīt be me any more, Iīd just be this shell that ate and breathed but
didnīt really *live* any more. That has to be the single scariest thing I
can think of. ____________________ Do not fear death so much, but rather the inadequate life. |

I played that bloody mary game when I was 5. I had nightmares because of
it but... On clowns...the only clowns I ever liked were the ones on the
back of a t-shirt I got. My grandma used to make us clown dolls and they
scared the hell out of us. I was 4, my sister was 8 and my mom would put
the clown over the edge of the net made for stuffed animals so if we looked
up it would be staring down on us. One time it fell on my sister and she
freaked out. I wonīt go near clowns in person, or those people dressed up
in santa outfits. Itīs toooooo scary. I have a fear of porcelin (sp)
dolls too. My mom has a cabnet full of them and then there are some around
the house. I think theyīre posessed *gets paranoid* especially the one
thatīs supposed to be me as a child.. *shudder* ____________________ "Pity no one was there
