Articles: Why Missouri sucks |

Well it's the day before mother's day. Well..I suppose a few hours before Mother's Day now. I spent my entire day running around trying to get together what I needed to have my gift for my mother made.(I just finally came up with the cash. I'm a poor little sap.) It took me ALL DAY to get a freakin' glass bowl and a candle!
First, I go over to a a friend's house who made the thing for me, to find out what I need. It's maybe 2PM. I leave there by 2:30 and head for Wal-Mart, the only place that I can get a purty glass bowl at around here. The entire freaking parking lot is full, there's like, two open spaces al the way at the back of the lot, which is technicaly the lot for another store. So I walk about 500 feet just to get into the store. Then, it takes me almost an hour just to get to the section of the store I need, there are so many people packed in there doing nothing but standing around talking to each other. Noone bothers moving when I try and get thru. I get dirty looks and obscene gestures and words when I ask, politely, if they could maybe move and let me thru.
When I finnaly get to the crafts, the lady working the department thankfully knew exactly where to tell me they are at, but because of the the imbeciles tht stock the shelves, it still takes me half an hour to find them. literally. Then I make my way back to the front. That part was easy. everybody suddenly decided they were ready to go all of a sudden. So I'm in line for about 45 minutes.
Then I go over to the dollar store, because I refuse to pay four dollars for something I can get for one. When I pull into the lot there is some lady sitting in her car, in the middle of the ONLY way thru, parked, for absolutely no better reason that her daughter was in the store and the lady seemed to think her daughter couldn't walk an extra five feet to the parking spaces. Of course I got a few nice, choice words and a very very dirty look when I pulled my car around hers. Apparently she seemed to think that I was supposed to wait half an hour for her daughter to get out of the store before I could go and get what I needed. Of course it was packed too, and everyone was at the counter right when I found the candle I wanted. another half an hour wasted, mostly because the cashier(the only person working in the store at the time) didn't know how to run the register right.
I got that done and brought it home. Then, 7PM. I had to back to Wal-mart. It's the only place NOT acros town to get groceries. I had to stand in line another 45 minutes there to buy one thing that was right by the door so I could eat dinner.
Then I went to the gas station.(the only place I know of tog et cold two liters of soda) They do this deal once a month where they have people come down and show off their show cars and such. They even have it set up so the cars are out of the way of poeple coming for gas or to get something in the store. The entire parkoing lot was full. Every space. All of them filled up, every single one, by people coming to gawk at the cars when the flyers and such that tell them about it specifically ask them to use the parking lot that attaches to theirs(Wal-mart's parking lot, the very far corner of it, anyway). So I had to park in the MIDDLE of the lot, where everybody drives thru. Then I stand in line for half an hour because some idiot can't decide which brands of cigarettes he wants.
I have never, honestly, been so utterly pised at people in general in any place outside of Missouri I've lived. Missouri blows goat wad.
Ok..I THINK I might have gotten that out of my system

Try shopping in California on any holiday or day before. There is no friggin way that you are ever going to park nor get through lines fast here. I suggest that next time you do what i did: Order flowers and a balloon online and be delivered on Mothers Day. Hee hee

Doesn't it just make you want to grab a 12 guage with no ammo and beat their heads into a bloody, multicolored little bloosh and then STOMP STOMP STOMP!! THEN you get ammo and start ventilating people...yeah, seriously. And once your done with that, you smear a hamster with highly flammable fluids, set it on fire and turn it loose in an old folks home! YARGH! Freaking old people...stomp...
Then again, it could be just one of THOSE days...which seem to come one after the freaking other.

maybe if someone would actually hire me so I could pay my bills it wouldn't be so bad. I dunno..I've been jobles and very heavily looking ince frigging November. And it's all rejection after rejection with a ton of complete blow-offs in between.
It really blows living in a country town..especially one that's trying so hard not to be one.
the town itself that I live in is a wannabe..not to mention the people...ARGH!!!!!!!!! |
