When I hear arguments that start with "God Says", or end with "That's just how it is". My ears shut off. It's cliche already. I've heard those lines so many times that my brain doesn't even hear them anymore. It just attaches a bozo label to the image of the person and files it away. I can't be the only one who does this. I would probably learn a lot from people if they would use their own words to say shit. If I hear "Established Patriarchal Order" one more time, I'm gonna start strangling well meaning people. Make up your own words, or at least put your sentences together the same way as you normally do. Repeating something you've heard someone smart say does NOT make you sound intelligent. Especially if you don't fully understand what they meant. (And trust me, you don't).
