Alright, people, it's time for me, Poison, to start complaining again. This time the lucky winner is the great Romanian music offering industry. Yes, I'm talking about the music CD and audio tape shops.
The ocassion for this particularly horid and mind decaying event is the purchase of the new HIM album, "Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights". I know what you're thinking, but, yes it can be clasified as a humungous event. Honest. Let me tell you the whole story. This is the HIM Odyssey, My HIM odyssey.

I first liked HIM when I listened to "Poison Girl", thus the reason for my nick name(Fine, so it's lame). Now, the problem was that no matter how much I looked I couldn't find the album it was included on, "Razorblade Romance". I started at the illegal CD people and I ended my search at the most pretentious chain of music stores in Bucharest. Nothing. No one had it. Some had never even heard about HIM. I can understand how that can be applied to some of my other favorite bands, but I Know HIM is very well known, world wide. So, I kept looking.

Eventually, a couple of weeks and a lobotomy later, a clerk at one of the pretentious stores offered to give me the CD kept for the store. I can remember when he came up to me, after I had asked for it, with the CD in his hand and then saying I had to wait 2 more days cause he didn't know the price. (Geeezzzz).

Alright, I waited, what's two more days?! When I came back, he still didn't know the price, and I truly began seeing the glass window broken under his body weight. But, then, through some heavenly miracle (Halleluiah), he talked to some of the "more in charge persons" and registered the sale on his name. So, thank you Mr. Horia from the Scala bulevard "Holywood, music and film".

Alright, now that I had one album, I had to get more, MORE!!!! (ok, I'm calm). I had learned from the internet about the existance of a first album called "Greatest Love Songs Vol. 666". I figured that since I had such problems finding the second one, the first one would be impossible. So, I appealed to every source I could think of. My e-friend with a HIM based home page, my other friends from foreign countryes and every single friend I had in Bucharest and the rest of this country. No luck. I tried downloading the songs from Napster. Unfortunaly, it closed down. Talk about bad luck!!! Geeezzz.

In the meantime, one of my collegues told me that she saw this CD with HIM that said limited edition on it. I thought wow, this is too good to be true. So, she took me to the store, cause I didn't know of its existence, but I had no money with me and I called my friend, telling him to come pick me up with money and stuff. So, we waited for him for 45 minuts outside the store (cause he didn't really know where the store was, so we couldn't stay inside), in the cold, it was really cold, it was december or something. But I got it, and I love it still...(ha ha ha).Thank you, Denisa.

A year later (!!!) my friend Bleen from Sweden, sent me the album I was missing and I still haven't paid for that one, I have to apologize about that. So thank you, Bleen. (thank you even more, cause I have to inform you all that he told me to and I quote:"Screw the money, consider it a gift..." isn't that sweet? Bow nicely to him people, he's cool, and I'm not just saying that)

The third album held none of the above problems and/or dilemas. It was just a question of money. Which I'm sorry to say it quite a big issue in CD's here. I'm sure everybody in Romania knows how much an originally recorded CD costs. A half a million lei. That sounds like a lot of money, doesn't it? It is, if your monthly income is that of 2 million, or even less. The last drop that filled the glass was the fact that it included the video for the new single. In the end, I managed to buy it, and now I'm suffering the consequences. I'm listening to HIM here, in the dark, on my nearly dead batery based discman, hungry and cold, LOL (I hope you realize that was a joke).

This was My HIM Odyssey. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did (bleah) and you might think it's stupid that I wrote this or that I'm showing off, but I'm not. I just thought it was funny to hear my completely mental misadventures.Honest.
Bye
