Methamphetamine Freaks Date Thursday, April 18, 2024 - 07:24 PM PST Topic Rant So now I'm reacclimated to San Diego itself, but one highly prevalent aspect of this place, that I've never been used to, is meth freaks/tweekers. Everywhere I look, I find more of them, and since one of them is living in this apartment, there is no escape. Where there is one tweeker, there will be several more...they form crazy little colonies of overly-amped, paranoid, and aggressive people. They stay awake for days, and when they fall asleep, one would have better luck raising the dead than waking them. Sleep for those not under the influence of that nasty drug is nearly impossible when a tweeker is present. Some nights are interrupted by general noise, even fighting, between the tweekers; other nights they have burst into the room, with some crazy thought that I'm conspiring against them and surely have plotted their imminent demise. The saddest part is that when they try to rationalize said conspiracy, they will argue their point with psychobabble for hours if given the chance. Luckily, I'm getting out of this ghetto in a couple of days, and going to a more upscale area (which will have its very own brand of sucktitude), and will be away from the majority of tweekers.
