I will be on deployment from late March until sometime in September. If it
does get pushed late enough into the year, I will definitely take leave so
I can be there again. I'll be poasting a thread later for pen pal type
stuff while I'm gone; if someone can just keep me up to date through snail
mail while I'm gone, I'd appreciate it tons. ____________________ "I've told you before, I don't comprehend religion, although

OMFG!~ I was fixing to type something in reply but my poster fell off the
wall and it scared me SO BAD ! But... anyways. Question... would the age
limit be lowered if a bunch of underaged(under 18) people went? I dont want
ot burst the party of gonig to bars and clubs and stuff though... That
would suck. I would feel real bad.

Even if you're 18 you can't get into the bars and clubs in New Orleans. We
found that out last year. It's still possible to have fun though.
I think the reason the age limit is set at 18 is because of liability. If
something where to happen to someone under 18 the site owner (Devin) would
more than likely get in trouble or be sued. ____________________ "People always say what we are looking for is a meaning for life…I don't

actually... for legality and liability purposes - if underaged people are
present, teh B&B and the overage members in attendance are liable... ____________________ The earth turns on a tilted axis - just doing the best it can.

All I knew was that they couldn't come because of that reason, but yours
makes sense too Feral. I was glad to be of age for last years, I am just
hoping to collect enough money to go again this year. ____________________ "People always say what we are looking for is a meaning for life…I

I'm very curious about the party myself so I can know how long I have to
save up money to go.
I had an idea for the one after this one. People promote the city they'd
like to have it in. Kind of like they do for cons such as Convergence then
there is a vote taken and then a decision made amongst the pantheon or
something like that. ____________________ "People always say what we are looking for is a meaning for life…I

The place I've been working for the last five or six years is attempting to
be sold, so I may be in a transitional state at some point this year.
Technically I am in one right now, but I am consciously in denial. I still
have a bit of time that I could continue to deceive myself, but at some
point I will not necessarily be sure if I will be working at the wrong time
without the ability to take any time off. Plus, the money issue is now much
more of a foreseeable obsticle. I want to be able to make it, and we know
that my husband is technically eligible for some more vacation time after
July. The only problem with the vacation time being not until then, is that
he just had to have them pay him out what he had currently because his
checks were a bit shorter than expected a couple of weeks there. So if
after July, then it just depends on my ability to take time off and if we
have cash on hand. If it was ever to be held in Chicago, then we could
drive there and no issue with airfare. If I win the lottery tomorrow, I'll
send some money to Callei to hold it for whenever it is, but on the
off-chance that I don't win tomorrow, the above issues apply for me. I was
crushed not to be able to find a way to go last year, and I'll be crushed
again this year if it happens, but someday...someway. ____________________ "When choosing between two evils, I always like to try the one I've never

Looks like things are going to be insane for everyone since everyone is
requesting a different date. Honestly.. as long as I know in advance I can
plan my summer vacation as long as my kiddo is out of school so she is at
grannies long enough for me to go visit my lovlies in Maui followed by
Shmengfest II. I am saving up vacation time just for this. And I'll be
bringing lots of film in hopes of doing shoots! ____________________ Suicide Hotline - Please Hold |

The summer months are brutal there. But a lot of people can only do this
during those brutal months, especially the ones in school or with children.
I know that Rogue and myself can only do this if it's during a time when
the kids are not in school. finding out when people have their spring or
winter break and seeing if it matches up might possibly work, but the best
shot is summertime. There seems to be more interest this time, which is
encouraging. So, if people who are serious about going will message me
with actual dates of their windows of opportunity, I will see what kind of
date I can cobble out of it that will please most people. ____________________
