I miss the time when every day seemed to last a week. When summer's
stretched out, golden, dusty, alive with potential. When a short hike
seemed like an odyssey. When every bush, wood, nook and cranny seemed so
full of secrets and promise.
I am nostalgic forthe time when friends were friends and enemies were
enemies. When grievances were forgiven or forgotten in the blink of an eye.
Dissapated almost as soon as they had appeared.
I am nostalgic for the time when I had no concept of how small the really
world was or how cruel its people could be. The time when my parents would
live forever and i would live forever and a day, always a child, a
facsimile of Pan.
I am nostaligic for the time when the universe and it's possibilities were
infinite. Now i know that infinite is only a word, and it means only as
much as can be contained in our little minds, which seem only to have
shrunk since then and i grieve. Is there anything as precious as childhood?

childhood was glorious. Days upon days of nothingness lined up like bottles
to be knocked over. Ahh. those were the days. Ignorance was not only bliss.
It was fun. ____________________ fucking classy. |

childhood for me was the period of brief bliss before i realized what a
shit world it i lived in... i was upset something horrible when i realized
the world was not a nice place... i do not want my child hood back...
becasue i still member the crushing disappointment when i realized it was
all a lie... ____________________ I know whats it like to want to die, how it hurts to smile, how you try to

Wassa grade seven? Where I am thats about ten. No way anyone in America
gets cigarettes at ten, they wouldn't serve me in newsagents over there
when i was seventeen. Stupid age limits.
I miss that stuff too, but it doesn't really seem like my memories
anymore.
Except for the bit about being a facsimile of Pan, I just got my feet the
way I like them and I don't think that goat hooves would suit. ____________________ Eritis sicut Deus scientes bonum et malum.

Grade 7 is about 12 years old. Grade 8 is 13, and grade 9 (high school
first year) is 14. Generally those would be the ages, some people are
older and some are younger in those grades, but that is the average. ____________________ "People always say what we are looking for is a meaning for life…I don't

My childhood was relatively easy, full of good memories, but you couldn't
PAY me to do it all over again. No way jose. The things I found fun then
I don't find fun anymore, the people I liked then I can't stand anymore
(except for one or two), and being a control freak, I hated the lack of
control I had over my own life. ALWAYS hated it. I was a good kid, with
good grades (3.4 not trying, 3.9 trying VERY VERY HARD) who never got
detention or arrested, and generall did or didn't do what my parents said,
and got NO recognition with it via extended cerfew or being treated like
the mature child I was, so to HELL with it. I love my parents to DEATH,
but wouldn't do it again. Besides, my dad and I get along MUCH MUCH better
since I moved out, and I wouldn't trade the relationship I have with him
now for an endless childhood (when we didn't get along at all). Besides,
despite what my mother says, cookies and pop make a FANTASTIC breakfast. ____________________ Trapped in time. Surrounded by evil. Low on gas. |

I'm more of a cold pizza man myself. With a glass of warm irn-bru on the
side.
I probably wouldn't want to relive my childhood. Not a lot i would want to
change to be honest, even the painful stuff has generally been useful in
some way. The term character building springs to mind, but i hate it, so i
won't use it. And the happier memories keep me warm on lonesome nights.
Actually one of my earliest memories is of a dog trying to chew my arm off.
But even that left me with a sexy scar. Ironically it was our lawyer's
dog, so we couldn't even sue.... ____________________
