red queen, if you'd like a copy of it i can send it to you. give me your
e-mail or something like that.
quote:ah well, at least he cant
be reelected. maybe its satan boy dick cheneys turn next or something.
The problem therein being that now, because Bush doesn't have to worry
about getting himself reelected, he can make more unpopular decisions with
no fear of reprisal. It is a frightening time to be a) of age for the draft
or b) a woman.

according to standardized testing and other things, a study published in
the University of Missouri Research Annual, the average IQ in Missouri is
83

I wonder if South Carolina really is an 89. It fits. Well, actually a 63
would probably be more appropriate. How does Tennesse have a higher
composite IQ than SC? I refuse to believe it. I demand a retest or a
recount or something.

While I had considered the fact that GWB might attempt to change the 22nd
amendment and attempt to get elected more than twice, I hadn't considered
that he might attempt to circumvent the amendment by finding loopholes.

starlight, thas a pretty cool post. it just goes to show how careful one
has to be with the wording of official documents. unfortunately people
cannot be trusted to act on the spirit of the thing.
just ask any roleplayer who has played with someone who wants to 'win'
are there really that many states where the average IQ is lower than 100?
thats pretty shocking.
even if those stats are correct, though, it does not tell us what the IQs
of the people who turned out to vote are. it could be that only people with
100+ IQs voted in all states, and we will probably never know.
lies, damn lies and statistics

Bush, or should I say his administration, has pledged to give more money
than the entire world put together to help combat AIDS across the globe.
Particularly in the South Asia and African continents.
That is the only decent thing that has come from this administration. And
i'm not even sure if all the money will go to this cause...
Bush, the president... has pledged... that is mighty amusing considering a)
he has not lived up to his own promises... and b) cannot directly decide
where money will go... that is up to our legislative bodies...
I've said it once, and I'll say it again... he should choke on a pretzel

It's fascinating to me to see how radically the majority opinion here on
Shmeng and throughout the virtual world has altered itself within the past
three or so years. All I can say about your well-intentioned righteous
indignation is this: Too little, too late. Where were you oh-so-informed
and oh-so-outraged activists when I needed you?
Talk, talk, talk.

personally, i think all this continued political debate is stupid. bush
won. so your not happy, but like it or not, your an american. we have to
work with this, like it or not, and do what is good for the country. and if
its any consolation, he wont run again in 4 years, so yeah. my two cents...
1) bush won...
2)we have to do what is good fro the country
3) shut up and accept it
That is the essense of your post...
good for the country is not bush... therefore... we cannot just shut up and
accept it... I am an american, but ... BUT... BUT... this fucking country
was built on the concept of fixing what is wrong with it...
Now... if you want us to shut up on this political debate... go fuck
yuorself... it's not going to happen... as long as the country is stupid
enough to support an assbag like bush... there will be strident voices
screaming out in opposition... as long as the 48% who voted for kerry have
no say (electoral college) we will scream in agony... as long as people
say, just buckle down and accept it... we will discuss... if you don't like
it, don't read this thread, or just go somewhere else...

fireflyer: For once, the flat, unmodulated medium of the internet will
work to my advantage as it will help me to minimise the "you're-an-idiot"
tone that creeps into my voice when I am explaining things that should have
been obvious to someone had they spent a nanosecond actually considering
them instead of reflexively regurgitating what I am certain they thought
was profound from the comfort of their flatline. Let's take this
point-by-point, shall we?
" personally, i think all of this continued political debate is stupid.
"
You are entitled to that opinion, of course, as I am entitled to think that
the practice of not capitalising personal pronouns immediately marks
someone as a semiliterate. Be that as it may, there is one form of speech
that is explicitly protected by the US Constitution, and that is political
speech. If you find it a waste of time to engage in the process, it is not
only counterproductive, but also un-American for you to try to dissuade
others from doing so.
" bush won. '
If it were as simple as that, people would still need to discuss it. It is
not as simple as that, however. I would suggest you look at http://www.bopnews.com/archives/002328.html#2328 to
view a list of links of studies and articles that demonstrate that voters
were, in fact, defrauded (again). A nice overview can be found at http://www.truthout.org/docs_04/110804A.shtml
" so your(sic) not happy, but like it or not, your(sic)
an american "
It has been pointed out many times that many people who visit this site are
not, in fact, Americans... and their contributions as third party observers
are often very insightful. Step outside your own head, please.
" we have to work with this, like it or not, and do what is good for
the country."
Once again, you seem to be stuck in an a priori little paradigm.
Nobody actually has to do anything, like it or not, and how did you propose
that we establish what is "good for the country" (much less do anything
about it) if political discussions are such a waste of time as you are
suggesting?
Actually, if we are going to do something about it, I would
recommend beginning by signing a petition to investigate possible election
fraud, such as the one found at http://www.moveon.org/investigatethevote/ ...however,
since we are moving in the direction of paperless elections which seem to
be designed to cover up abuse and fraud, an investigation might be
fruitless. Still, if the left weren't so bent on bitching at the expense
of actual reform, they could write to their Representative at http://www.working
forchange.com/activism/action.cfm?ItemId=18055
" and if its any consolation, he wont (sic) run again in 4
years, so yeah"
You seem to be making the same mistake that many people are making when
criticising the direction this country is heading when you assume an
administration is a single man. You also assume that legislation
disappears when a person leaves office and four years isn't time to do
irreperable harm in policy (both domestic and foreign), appointments, and
legislative precedent. You also assume that criteria for Presidential
appointment is written in stone and that at the end of four years he (and
others of his ilk, including foreign-born "guvinators") still won't be
eligible for reappointment. Since his party controls three branches of the
government, I don't share your optimism there.
" my two cents..."
In an unstable economy such as the one the USA currently enjoys, I
respectfully decline your two cents as being not worth my time.

Can I just say... I have the phrase "my two cents" fuck your two cents...

opinion"...
