| I've also noticed that basilic helps sleep...putting some under my pillow
always gives me a good night's sleep with no nightmares. I'mnot sure if it
works for everybody, though. ____________________

a couple of beers is good to knock you out if, afterwards, you try watching
a film you really want to see, you will be asleep by the time the plot
thickens and will groggily wake up for just long enough to see the plot
twist at the end before being out like a baby for the rest of the night.
i know it sounds flippant, but this remedy has worked on many occasions
when ive had my sleep problems, much to my annoyance. its just like having
a few drags on your last cigarette will always make the bus come.
temp agencies. eurgh. i have been dicked around by so many fucking temp
agencies. they get far more people than they can find work for so they say
'call back tomorrow at nine' then at nine the next morning they say 'oh, we
never have anything in the mornings, try at five thirty just before we
close, thats the best time' then at five thirty they say (you guessed it)
'call back at nine tommorrow.'

Yeah, I have to get up at night sometimes. Didn't use to have to, but have
had to lots lately.
WW: I don't drink beer. I think it is nasty. I hate the taste with a
passion. I am a fruity mixed drink girl or a hard liqour girl. Mmmm rum
or vodka... The temp agency has actually found me a job once. Sadly I had
to call them back in like two minutes and they filled the position.
Hey Bettie: Someday I'm going to drink a bit of that rum you suggested.

| Yeah, beer is definitely an acquired taste. I never used to like it, but
after I had Riley I found that I couldn't drink sweet drinks anymore,
except for some reason Margaritas. I had to experiment around before I
found that beer is just about the only form of alcohol I can drink without
feeling queasy. I'm having fun trying different ones. I like Sam Adams,
and a Vermont beer called Long Trail Ale, with cows on the label. And yes,
if I'm not careful, one beer will turn me into an utter zombie. Especially
with the Benedryl I've been taking for my allergies. ____________________

Well, I don't ever want children, so if your theory is correct I will never
like beer and I will continue to love fruity stuff.
I no longer have the "can't stop thinking about work" reason I am not able
to sleep. Now I have the "there is a very large spider in my bathroom, a
spider in the living room the other day, and tiny spiders on the walls
scared I'm going to piss out of my ears" reason I can't sleep and nobody is
online to talk to... HELP! Paranoia is setting in. My brain is going:
Are they in the bedroom. Are they in the bed in which you lie? Are they
behind it?
Are they behind the speakers on the end tables? Are they behind the
dresser? Hiding in the closet? I know there is one in the bathroom. They
aren't just coming out in the dark anymore, you saw one in the living room
in the daytime. That usually means infestation. *body itches* *I twtich
and scratch* *addrenaline pumping* *body sweats in a 65 degree bedroom*
Something seemed to move in the darkness...was it just the light from the
monitor playing tricks with my eyes? Everything, everywhere,
spiders....and I want to go back to sleep so as not to keep my bedmate
awake. ____________________

Send 'em my way, MRD. I like eight-legged creepie-crawlies. They always
seem to come to me in times of crisis, too. I'm not sure why, but when
things are at their craziest, I always seem to find a spider, either
crawling on or near me, or hanging down from the ceiling at eye-level.
But I understand that you're not happy with them - my mom has moderate
arachnophobia, and I used to be pretty creeped out by them - then suddenly
I started liking them. But I will say this - if there's a spider of any
size at all in the room, I want to know where it is.
I wonder what it is about having more than 4 legs that awakens the eeewww
reaction in humans? What is so eeeewww about legs, anyway? Hmmmmm, the
mysteries of the human psyche... ____________________

| For me, it's anything that has more than 6 legs. Insects don't bother me. I
love to play with hissing cockroaches and chase the big fat japanese
beetles during the summer. but something about those eight legs really
un-nerves me. and yet I cannot tear my eyes away. I want to reach out and
touch them, but I just can't get over my fear enough to do it. ____________________
