That's because the name www.shmeng.com still points to the old server. The
old server redirects to the new server (temporarily ww2.shmeng.com). The
first time, you might be logging in to the old server. I had to do it this
way to avoid the day or 2 of nobody being able to connect if I just changed
the address to point to the new server. It should go away once everyone's
name servers figure out the new address and i switch the name over.

Would that be why the article I tried to submit wouldn't let me submit it?
It said I wasn't authorized, and I hope I'm not being overconfident, but I
really don't think it's because I'm not considered worthy of submitting
material! Or are you just not accepting new stuff right now? I tried to
post something in honor of Riley's birthday tomorrow, too, and now it's
lost! *boohoo*

I wrote a long post, hit 'preview', and it simply took me to the main page
and lost the whole thing. Ack. Probably for the best, from the look of
things.

you'll probably be logged out, so log BACK in
then post something. i bet that works
good luck!

Spell check on the new entry form is getting a 404. It worked to hit the
button on the actual form, but when that popped open a window with my text
in it and I hit the "check" button at the bottom of the page it went to a
404 error.

The original spell checker is very broken. I put a new one in. It works
ok, but you have to copy and paste the spellchecked text back into the
source page of the editor. (After clicking the "source" checkbox).
Annoying I know - but at least it works, i'll fix the other one later.
The login issues should be getting better now.

Hmm...having some weirdness with article comments. Often all of the
comments display just fine, sometimes they are cut off by the triple white
line that appears at the bottom of the page. When it happens I can't
scroll and can't see the rest of the comment(s). Seems to be happening
more with articles that have a lot of comments following.
I'm running OSX Jaguar, with IE 5.2. Funny thing is, it doesn't happen at
all when I use Safari.
Oh yeah, and chat bombs IE, doesn't seem to work at all in Safari.
Otherwise, things look good from the mac world.

The chat in Safari seems to work, but only if you turn off "Popup Blocking"
(Command-K)
I didn't have any problem with the chat in IE 5.2 - it worked fine.
Although I'm not sure why anyone would try to use IE 5.2 on the mac.
Safari is still a little buggy, so it's good to have another browser, but
I've found Camino works infinately better.
I'm not seeing the article comments problem at all. I suspect it's yet
another Mac IE 5.2 bug.

Maybe it's just me but one of my comments isn't showing.
