| I swear people are getting dumber by the minute. I have been watching the
news and what not last night and some dumb ass jumps off a roof into a pool
and shatters his legs...the parents blaming mtv and jackass! and then the
hazing in chicago with people getting beat up and being force fed fecal
matter and all kinds of stupid stuff! And then I had to sit back and laugh
when People were in awe of gods power... LIke the face in the montain some
where that fell down! THe face collapsed and now they are debating whether
to rebuild it or not! DEBATING! hehe Thats the reason I dont watch Tv very
much...The News is pretty much pointless now a days! ____________________

| Normaly I would say its just your imagenation, or the fact that your I.Q.
had grown vastly. However I also have noticed a new increase in "Idiocracy"
(for waht I'm calling it). The stupid are gathering in mass numbers, and
all we can hope for is the therory of survival of the fitest. For now I'll
just continue reading the Darwin Awards. ____________________

Actually, I have a horrible theory. People have in fact ALWAYS been this
stupid, seriously...people have been fucking retarded since the get go. The
only thing thats changed is now it's easier for us to realize this through
the gloriou sand unbiased media...wheeee. So don't lament humanities
downward spiral of intellect...just continue to mourn it's long ago
death.
I hate watching the news personally, I'd much rather sit on a rock and
look at the pretty mountains and not worry...until of course part of the
mountain falls off, and then I have to debate weither or not
dolphins/commies/god/etc. are at fault. ____________________

Hm I'd have to say that people weren't always retarded, but just rather
ignorant (and ignorance really kind of keeps you safe because with
ignorance comes fear and fear keeps people from doing crazy things that
would hurt themselves..usually), but in the last decade or so we've become
absolutely STUPID. I think that yes, the media has done more to simply
HIGHLIGHT every day idiots, but that their numbers are indeed growing.
Mostly it's because of parents who don't watch their kids, or know what
their kids are doing when they aren't watching, or bother explaining to
them "look bub, those guys on that TV show are stupid, which is why it's
funny, but if you did that you'd bust your neck and end up in traction
which ISN'T funny." We also live in a society that has become more and
more "king of the hill", so you have more people doing more serious things
in order to maintain that status. We also live in a society that is driven
by adrenaline, everyone seeking a "rush", and a sense of "oh well", not
caring about consequences as long as that personal high is achieved. And
people have been steadily desensitised over the years which DOES NOT HELP
at all.
College hazing is SO illegal, and for good goddamn reason (as who is
generally more careless, crazy, stupid and usually drunk than a college guy
out to "prove something"?)
God you can even see all this stupid carelessness if you drive a car! In
the last week I have been hit almost 5 times, without so much as a glance
from the other driver, been tailgated every day (and I speed too, not a
lot, but enough to keep the damn traffic moving), and had to sit at a green
light blaring my horn and flipping off at least 5 cars that chose to "go
with the flow" and ignore their red light from their side of the street.
Then they look at me like I'm the asshole.
All you can do is NOT become one of the idiots out there and do your best
to avoid them. ANd laugh at them on the 11 o'clock news. ____________________

| Indeed! Just hope you don't fall in the trap! And so hope that Darwins
theory comes into play soon so so soon....when people do dumb stuff i just
have to pose the question if Darwin's theory comes to play do you think
that you would survive? it makes people think....hehehe I find it rather
amusing though to sit down and watch the ignorant people entertain me!

| I too saw the young boy jump off of the roof and land beside the pool
instead of into it. I found the boys to be very stupid. Surely they
could've guessed something to that effect might happen eventually. I am
also very saddened at the rate of illiteracy in our nation. OBVIOUSLY the
boys did not read the disclaimer that appears before every episode of
JackAss. *Weeps* ____________________

Once upon a time, this little Squid was the lowly night manager at a
convenience store and one night had to close down the store to chase a rat
for a few hours. It was then that I realized...
The rat was getting through EVERY single trap I set, and was hiding from
mee (and my co-worker) and getting away successfully. Why? Because this
rat was descended from a million rats who learned that traps like that can
kill yoo. Thus the rats are getting smarter because they had real dangers
in their way.
HUMANS however live in a world full of non-toxic crayons, child-proof caps,
and an absurd number of of disclaimers. So just as the rats are getting
smarter, people are getting stupider. ____________________
i wanted to die, and then it progressed into wanting everyone else to
die so i could watch, and then me die.

Exactly. We have so many things meant to make life easier and safer and
"thoughtless" that well...we don't think anymore. And there is no real
sense of danger anymore (hence a need to fullfill that adrenaline rush with
amusement park rides that simulate trauma and movies and videogames and
well...everything). So our intelligence allows us to create things to make
our lives easier, while the catch 22 is that it robs us of the intelligence
that allowed us to MAKE them.
This might somehow have something to do with it (but I doubt it) but for
some reason it reminds me of that x files episode when that little boy
would imagine monsters and his imagination was so strong that they'd
actually manifest and kill people. So they ended up putting him in a
hospital for a "cap treatment" where they put him in a really comfy seat in
front of a wall of television sets playing movies and cartoons for hours on
end to dull his ability to "make believe". I don't know if that has
anything to do with this, but this line reminded me of it, and if anyone
sees where I"m going then yay! ____________________

their survival. This allows them to breed with other stupid people, thus

on another note, no matter how it came to be there is a growing popuation
of stupid people in the world 95% of my school is made of ditzy idiots and
half of them are in the wrong grade because of it... now, what are going to
DO about it?? as previosly discussed Darwins theory would eventually wipe
them out but as Nicholas pointed out all this new technology helps them
from dying as quickley also the theory that i quite strongly beilve in -
majority rules. if there is a majority of stupid people who do stupid
things you see on tv like hazing and riots they could survive and we could
die out just because stupidity is easier so more people choose it.... and
if Darwins theory did work to eliminate them it would take so long that
none of us would be around to see it.... unless it happened really quickly
in one mass shooting or something...
thats why i think all the less society-loving types should go live on an
island somewhere and just come back ashore once in a while to see how the
stupid people are doing, thier kind of interesting to watch sometimes
thogh, better than tv!!...
now you can just go back to your conversation and ignore my random babbled
opinions thank you good day...

| Actually I agree with that island idea. (Is that Feralucce, or Arthegrad?)
Randomly cheking up on the rest of the populas, perhaps bringing back those
whom wish to flee the idiots. But this scenerio reminds my of a short story
I read ( I foreget the name, but it was in a book called The Dark Side I
believe.) The story went that a strange island in one of Russias big lakes
was inhabited by puritan like people. Unlike the rest of the lake their
island and the surrounding water was clean. One day those from around the
lake became ill by the pollution. They took their boats to the islland and
ask the Pure Ones for help, but the Pure could not and the Polluted were
sent away. The next day the Polluted returned with vengence; they blamed
the Pure for their illness, and were jellous they did not suffer as they
did. And so the Polluted raped and pillaged the Pure's island. However
thier was a good twist at the end of the story that I will not give a way. ____________________

Stupid people have always been here and will always be here.. *remebering
the moron that stapled his own ass cheeks some weeks ago) but they are a
source of either great entertainment or great annoyance. but I believe
that mother nature has moved with the times so to say, no a day the stupid
people die in car accidents(drunk, no seat belt, etc) and such like. .
What is the end of that book? you got me curious..

| I think that stupidity is rapidly approaching a head. Then many of the
stupid people will kill themselves off through some act of group stupidity.
Eventually leaving only a few random truly stupid people around...hopefully
completely sterile. Eh well then again maybe not, but at least the truly
stupid are truly entertaining to watch. ____________________
