Well...people should be able to do whatever life style they are please with
and not hurt anyone for thinking differently...in my opinion, anyway.
People are unique to the extent that they are their individual selves
(despite the common trends you see out there), but when it comes to it,
we're all human; we all breathe, talk, and whatnot. All I can think of
saying right now - my mind is kind of in a trance.
I can't really define my music tastes myself. Even though I listen to
Sisters of Mercy, London After Midnight, and Inkubus Sukkubus, I also like
a few songs from other genres. I havent listened to Avril's stuff, but
what do people have against her? Hehe.

Why am I a tad bothered that Merry Widow was one of the few people who
didn't just breeze on by the word "wigger" and do a doubletake? Good to
know you got your eyes open girl, I got your back.
Okay, so wigger is funny but nigger is NOT? Or, diabolus, do you merely
see the hiphop/rap/r&b scene as a group of niggers and wiggers? OH I'm
sorry, to be a PC racist it's "niggAS and wiggAS"...I forgot. (I'm not
attacking you xaos, I'm making a point, and for the record I don't care
what color mouth the word comes out of, it's a SERIOUS no no in my ears)
Ok, maybe I"m overreacting, and you're not a racist...your just a teenager
too stupid and caught up in the stereotyping bullshit that they rally
against so very hard to realise you're TALKING like one. Thousand pardons
if that's the case.
ANyway, on to the "normals" *coughhypocritecough*
Fashions, music, and tastes change constantly throughout every single
generation. One form of music spawns another, and interests change. We're
a species that gets bored very very quickly and is always looking for the
next "big" thing. Deal with it. Pop, to begin with, is a short way of
saying "popular" ie: the most widely accepted form of something. Usually
the most sucessful bands have a way to integrate their form of music with
"pop" and still make it sound unique, keeping their usual fanbase but the
more friendly sound incorporating a wider group of people outside that
particular "scene". (examples being BonJovi-arenarock/metal + pop,
Screeching Weasle-punk+pop).
And music morphs into other subgenres ALL THE TIME. Emo+Metal = Screamo.
Metal+Punk= Hardcore. It'll never stop, and people will always change
"trends".
And...who are you to judge good music? Who are you to judge who's original
and who's not? WHy don't we (ie: you) spend a little more time on yourself
and what makes you happy than wasting all your precious time with all
"those people" that aren't "worth your time". Turn of your radio, stop
watching MTV, and quit reading "teen beat magazine" and focusing on how
inadequate everyone else is.
Or better yet, stop crying about them and maybe get to KNOW them and go
from there.
Don't get me wrong pal, most of the music today IS crap to me too...so I
just don't listen to it. And I even get along with people who's musical
tastes make me want to break their radio. ____________________

Oh, and also don't mistake me on another point. You can hate
whoever/whatever you want for whatever reasons you want, but just remember
it makes you no better than "them".

I do come across people who try to bash others to make themselves feel more
special...or those who even put down others to make themselves feel more
special. Take a look at history and look at all the fascist bastards who
put down a certain group of people. Not saying anyone is to -that- level,
but it can build up. Those who do not do anything close, don't worry about
it. 
Maybe my expression right now is fecked...just woke up after spending hours
reading a book.

Oh I love the latest advice I've heard..."Well you can wear your hair long

Let's see...oh and apparently I'm too old by some people's opinions...to
have not switched to easy listening or country music by my
age...*squirms*...I said when I was a teenager that I knew that I'd never
be stagnated music-wise..and that I'd always listen to heavy metal (and not
grow to hate the stuff that I liked back then too...the eighties still
rock!)...and to new music...whatever it be...when it comes out...and decide
if I like certain songs/groups at the time......I remember where I was when
I said it...and it still stands...so fuck that I'm too old for
anything...that's crazy talk.

A friend of mine...someone asks her about music...kind of like this.
Q: Do you like rap?
Her: Some.
Q: Do you like pop?
Her: Some.
Q: Do you like heavy metal?
Her: Some.
Q: Do you like country?
Her: Some.
I loosely follow a similar path. She is she...but I respect her in the
aspect that she isn't trying to form a mob and tell what someone should
listen to and what someone should not. It makes me frown when I see those
mobs group up like that. While the "super uber-goth punks " make their
mobs and denounce "preps", I feel that they're just acting like any other
mob group out there.
Again, this is my opinion and it isn't necessarily striking at anyone in
this site - people should have friends or enemies if they want...just
pointing out what I tend to frown upon.

Give a goth kid a cookie and they'll weep through poetry because it wasn't
the right kind (because NOBODY truly understands them....*sigh*) and
there's no milk, give a goth kid a glass of milk for the cookie and they'll
write a song about it and how they wished it was bloooood because they're a
VaMpYrE and you don't give VaMpYrEs milk you give them BlOoD (and after
writing the song they'll again morose how nobody understands them
*sigh*).
Give a raver a cookie, and they'll look at you with those big black
dialated eyes that twitch and say "woah! the cooooookie faaaaaairy!"
Blinds you with a well placed glowstick " Hey man I just scored 30 pills in
the bathroom you wanna BUY ONE?!" you run away without offering milk.
Give a metal head a cookie and he'll sock you and yell that cookies are for
babies...then when you limp away with it he'll beat you up and take it.
Then beat you again for not providing milk. You give a metal head a glass
of milk for his cookie, and he'll throw it in your face and yell "LOOK WHAT
YOU DID ASSHOLE" and beat the crap out of you for "spilling my fuckin
milk".
Now we're wising up a bit, and figure out that perhaps we should offer
cookies and milk at the same time, so then approaches a punk:
Give a punk a cookie and a glass of milk and he'll proceed to stomp on it,
saying 1) I don't need yor feckin charity 2) this isn't vegan. He'll then
proceed to rant and rave how cruel and wrong it is for the animals to
suffer for cookies and milk, call you a capitolist pig, and spit on you.
Emo kids are the least of your problems kiddos. You're just mad that they
make a living off being angstful and the most any of us get is a fake
halfway interested look if it means that person can get in our pants. ____________________

good reason. Number one, No one has ever bothered to try and understand me
because my personality is far too complex, Number 2, I rely strictly on
logic for basing all my opinions. Number 3, I do not mope about my pathetic
excistance...it isn't the best....but it could be worse. The reason I
disapproved of Emo is because it is sending the wrong message out about
punks, which future generations will pick up and will countinue to baffle
the meaning of the wolrd until no one will actually know what the work
"punk" means. This worries me, I do have avril.....but more I hate what she
is doing and th message she is sending out to youth. If she admitted she
wasn't punk and spoke the truth for once, I would have no problem with her.

queen hellbent on domination of the music industry (and failing miserably I
can count dozens of "image conscious" pop stars that put her to shame).
It'll be okay, she'll dry out in a couple years, nothing to twist your
knickers about. And someone will always come up on their heels to take
their place with some new and improved plan to warp the musical
sensibilities of our world's tender brained un-pretense trained teenagers.
Besides, I thought image, clothing, and style had nothing to do with a
person's personality and whatnot...silly me. Oh wait, that only applies to
the TRUE "punk/goth/whatever" s.

What IS punk, smartypants, and what do YOU do on a daily basis or know that
makes you the leading authority?
