I don't know anything about Lovecraft, but I congratulate you on this large
uptaking.
I wish you luck!

WOW! How can anyone refuse an offer like that! I am probably not half as
educated in the Mythos as you are, and my knowledges of Lovecraft himself
are humble. But I would love to learn more, and I'm certainly up for a
discussion or two

Trust mee, I probably come-off as sounding as though I know the Mythos alot
better than I actually do. I am going to need alot of help especially if
yoo have unique opinions/ingight/whatever. I also find it quite helpful to
dicuss the Mythos even if I don't learn anythin because dicscussion tends
to help mee get things straight in my head.

I'm kinda' familiar with the mythos myself...I can even tag a few o the
outrigger guys...not just the big H.P. so I guess I'm a fan...tell you what
though, In the Mountains of Madness was the first Lovecraft story I ever
read, right along with err...something with a guy named Carter (No kidding
my tribe) in it...and those were the first two stories I had ever read that
actually freaking scared me...no wait, not scary...terrified. I freaked, it
was great!
I think he gave a face and form of sorts to something that defines us
inasmuch as we are unable to define it by it's very nature...on one hand,
it is a looming certainty that we are mere specky-specks of worthless
galactic gack...and that allows a palpable and loathesome dread nihilism to
sink in...yet in the same respect, in a sort of counterlight...the
brightness cast by the shadow of foul oblivion if you will, it allows us to
realize certain precious things, and how rare and priceless they actually
are. Without a fetid abyss to fear, we have nothing we may actually
consider good...no matter how insignifigant it is on a global, galactic or
cosmic scale...I guess thats kinda' aristotilan, at least I think thats the
term...I dunno'
And I think we hear his name every time the sweet little baby jesus
sneezes...
