Blackadder: What would you do if you had money, Baldric?
Baldric: I'd buy m'self a little turnip out in the country.
Blackadder: What about a great lot of money, then what would you do?
Baldric: Oh, that's different. I'd buy m'self great big turnip out in the
country, sir.
And he did. Only not in the country.
And Season 2 is still my fave, then maybe 3.
"Lord Flasheart, Lord Flasheart, I wish you were the star! Lord
Flasheart, Lord Flasheart, you're sexier by far!"
But I didn't think he was at all. Silly cross-drossing, woman-stealing
prick.
I wonder how much Rowan Atkinson got paid to be the little bird on Lion
King?

Does anyone like the Blackadder in series 1 better than 2, 3 & 4?
Same goes to Baldrick. He isn't as stupid as in the later ones.
Edmund: Or, as I shall be known from now on: The Black... Vegetable!
Baldrick: My Lord, wouldn't something like 'The Black Adder' sound better?
Edmund: No, wait. I think I have a better idea... What about... The
Black... Adder!

It isn't really worth seeing most of Rowan Atkinson's other work. He may be
a great comic actor but that cannot help him against embarassingly poor
scripting, supporting actors or direction. It really is best to stick to
Blackadder, Not the Nine O'clock News and Mr. Bean (TV series, NOT film) ____________________ Eritis sicut Deus scientes bonum et malum.

I was disappointed that the Academy neglected to award his work in
Scooby Doo .

ever I hear Rowan Atkinson I think of a narcoleptic guy running around

Yeah, and Not the Nine O'clock News kicks arse. Though it wouldn't really
be so funny if you didn't live in Britain.
'Come back home to a roaring fire.... Buy a house in Wales.'
The beauty of Blackadder is the interplay between Atkinson's Blackadder and
Tony Robinsons(?) Baldrick. Without one I don't think that the other would
work. Blackadder needs his toilet weasel to bounce off, and who would hit
Baldrick if Blackadder wasn't around. In fact, I am going to go so far as
to say that Blackadder contains the last great slapstick comedy moments. So
there.

I think it's sad that all that Rowan Atkinson is remembered for is Mr.
bean. although it is remarkably funny, he can act much more than short
skits of speechless acting. ____________________ fucking classy. |

Yes, we like to bend the rules of attraction. Look at Prince Charles.
Everyone wants to have consummatory relations with Prince Charles,
obviously because he's so charming and because his ears are so
proportional. It has nothing to do with weath or fame or power. ____________________ < / hate > |

I find that oddly comforting. If Rowan Atkinson can be sexy, there is hope
for all of us.

Really I just wanted to start someone off talking about Blackadder, a)
because I thought it would be a relatively neutral subject as compared to
the snipey bits fore and aft, and b) because I really, really love
Blackadder.
"Black Adder, Black Adder, he rides a pitch black steed.
Black Adder, Black Adder, he's very bad indeed.
Black: his gloves of finest mole!
Black: his codpiece made of metal!
His horse is blacker than a hole!
His pot is blacker than his kettle!
Black Adder, Black Adder, with many a cunning plan.
Black Adder, Black Adder, you horrid little man!"
Personally I thought Rowan Atkinson was kind of sexy in the second season
in Elizabethan era dress. ____________________ Today's liberals are tomorrow's conservatives. When my generation is the

It isn't as if we organise and act in concert (or if anyone else does they
have yet to tell me). I said what i said because that is what i felt, as I
always do, presumably the others did too.
I shall now resume my having buggered off on the issue.
