The treatment of women in physical training is appaling. It so blatantly
says, "Your a woman, so you cant lift as much, here lift this lighter
weight". What pisses me of even more are femminists. The femminist groups
are quick to point out how men objectify them, and how there harrased and
discriminated against in the work place, etc, etc, but they never complain
about women getting these breaks. I believe its Monolycus' "herd mentality"
at work again. I have heard some really well informed and educated
femminists discussing there point of view and it was very compelling, but
one sided. Femminist have been fighting for women to get it the say as men
right? or are they fighting for women to get it better? Has anyone really
heard a femminist say, "men have there problems, but women have a shit load
too. lets work them out together, so one day we can all be on a level
playing field" ? Unlike civil rights leaders who fought for equality,
femminist seem to be fighting to insult and undermine men. And whats the
the deal with the ones that say "why is it herpes. Cant it be himpese. Why
is it Menstruation, cant it be Womenstruation". Am I wrong, am i right, or
am I severly brain dammaged? Discuss. |

Personally I am quite sick with seeing jobtitles that are gender/sex
specific. I think if there is to be the specific need to inform someone of
the person behind the job title's gender/sex, then state they are a
male/man or female/woman "insert job-title here". Example of stupidity:
Policeman and Policewoman- when they are friggin Policemen.
I think if a womaninsists on changing the original jobtitle to suit her
personal gender/sex, then they should be forced to add the ending of "ette"
to the job title. Some examples: She is a policemanette. She is a
soldierette. She is a construction workerette.
I wonder how that would go over with some people. It goes on an on (card
dealerette, bookkeeperette, Doctorette). I'm uncertain if I have excluded
certain job titles such as waiter/waitress for subconscious reasons or not.
Some things don't seem to even fall into the category of gender/sex
specific titles being used; such as Lawyer, Nurse, Cashier. Although having
said that, there will now appear examples of those job-titles being
adjusted. *sighs and walks off even more disillusioned than when she
started typing* ____________________ "When choosing between two evils, I always like to try the one I've never

Heh you know what's funny? I can do more pull ups than any of the guys (and
girls for that matter) in the entire grade. Yeah! Put that in your pipe
and smoke it Mr. C!
Yes, I understand this post is completely irrelevent to the topic in whole,
but what ever I'd say has already been stated. ____________________ "Pity no one was there

I still think there need to be clubs that are speifically oriented towards
genders. The collapse of our world began when we remove dgentlemen's and
ladies' clubs. ____________________ Make way for the bad guy! |

You asked why the feminists don't particularly admit that men have
disadvantages. The reason for that is because, like all activists, they are
arguing their point against the opposition's point. Nobody is going to make
concessions in their argument because then it would make their argument
appear weaker.
It is the job of the opposition to bring up these points, in order to
reinforce his her their (see, its already gotten to me...)
point of view. But in our society, it isn't politically correct to play
hard ball against a popular opinion (in this case, that men are pigs\women
are oppressed)
The word 'man' comes down from the proto-Germanic 'manwaz', meaning human
being or person. I'm not quite sure about the usage, but Old English used
wer- and wif- to distinguish the sexes. I don't know if those were just
feminine pronouns or what...
But anyway, this shows that from the beginning, 'man' meant 'human'. It was
only about 1000AD that 'man' meant 'adult male'.
So the various words that have 'man' in them probably are referring to
'human' rather than their sex. So we correctly call Policemen and
Policedogs differently, but it isn't really necessary for intra-species
references.
Another thing: The first use of fireman was in 1714. Women were not firemen
back then. So there wouldn't be a need to declare that this is a man.
Therefore, I don't think it refers to the firefighter's gender. (Ah!
There's a nondescript word!)
If you really care for where I got all that etymology stuff, here's the link.
By the way, no, I'm not really this smart. I'm at work, and there is a lot
of boring material that I have to work on. Thus, by comparison, etymology
is exciting.
Darkmistress: I was pull-up champion as well in grade school, probably
because I was such a lightweight. Its easy to hang on when you only weigh a
100lbs...
Comedian: Uh... Gentlemen's clubs kinda took on a different meaning... they
didn't vanish. But I hear you. Stupid golf tournament. ____________________ Piggy's got the Conch! |

I do appreciate the flattery, thank you, but there are a few brilliant
people floating around this site (I should know, I have been debated into
the ground by a number of them!) If I had waited two minutes longer to
write my response, it would have been unnecessary because Ironboots was
apparently on the same wavelength that I was and had a quicker "Post Reply"
finger. I also thought this had the potential to degenerate into a flame
forum and am very gratified to find that everyone is being more reflective
than reflexive. You seem to have a great deal on your mind, Squire, and it
appears that you are orderly enough to stay with the sorting process. I
have a feeling that you will do well here.
At the risk of sounding elitist and genderist... if you find a nice
gentleman's club, Comedian, do you think you could sponsor my membership?
It would be nice to swill cognac and park my butt on Corinthian leather
while debating issues with like-minded people. I am, as ever
your faithful friend,

I totally agree with gentlemen's clubs and ladies clubs. Only thing is, I
think the gentlemen's clubs are far cooler than the laides clubs. *lol* So
I guess I'll just stay home and be antisocial and get drunk and use the
internet as a means for social interaction. ____________________ "When choosing between two evils, I always like to try the one I've

Yeah, I agree. Gentlemen's clubs are a lot more fun than lady's clubs.
Gentlemen's clubs promote cigar smoking, brandy drinking, and creating time
machines, whereas lady's clubs are about sipping tea and investing in
oversea bananna companies.
Of course, the internet is the only place you can respectably do this:

Well I've spent a lot of time in my local gentlemen's club, and using my
time machine, I was able to turn this topic from an anti-social first rant
to a discussion on the merits of fine Brandy and Oversea Bannana clubs! Moo
hoo hahahahahaha! Of course my friggin Dalorian needed a tune up so I can't
shift it into the next phase; Adult Diapers and Rock Candy. Just you wait,

Brian good news man, theres now only a good 18% chance its my kid. I
thought getting someone pregnant would feel different. Theres only two good
parts in sex, arriving , and departing the scene of the crime. That bitch
screamed at the top of her lungs "i hate you chris" during lunch today and
then went and smoked a blunt with alex. I found out today that a woman can
have her period up to 4 month into the pregnancy, fucked up aint it. This
is to all the lovely members of this site. Im sorry to intrude and talk
about a subject completely unrelated to your topic. I think
Squire-of-gothos has a crush on monolycus, meibe its just me. Well brian
later.

First of all, sweet, 18% is good. I hope that chick learns her lesson when
it comes out all deformed and cracked out. What kind of sick person does
all those drugs when she may be pregnant. Numero dos, god damnit chris,
don't use my name, I hate that friggin' name. Brian. Grrrrr. Your supposed
to call me Lord Raven, master of the Northern gates!!! Number thrice, fix
my god damned Dalorian! And quit jacking up the prices. I don't want my
tires rotated, and I don't need new air bags!!!! Damn auto shops! More
importantly, I soooooo don't have a crush on Monolycus, its totally
platonic. But I think these other guys might be going to gentlemen's clubs,
for "other" reasons, eh, nudge nudge, wink wink. ( just kidding, don't hate
me, I'm young!) p.s. Chris, you've got some messed up and angry shit in
your head, why don't you post it, instead of wandering into other shit and
telling me things you could over the phone.
BTW everyone, I took my GED placement test today, and they say my scores
are so high, I can do the GED test right now instead of taking the classes.
After this I'm getting my Asociate of Arts degree, then going to FSU or FIU
(undecided) to finish of with a bachelors in either liberal arts of film.
Yay for me! Yay for dropping out! Yay for pencils!

I realise I am a bit late for this particular topic, but I thought it
worthy enough to jump back for a second.
Thus far in the media's/government's attempt to be PC, there has been one
insident that stands out from all others for myself. After September 11th,
a statue was made, in honor of the men and women who fought to save lives
on that day. It was made from a picture taken of three white male
fire-fighters raising an american flag. The finished statue showed a white
male, a black male, and a hispanic male. This pissed me of because the
three white men that where there weren't there because they are raceist and
wouldn't let anyone else into the picture, they were there because they
just were. Thurning the statue into some sort of shrine to political
correctness seems to be one more step towards censorship and the
media/government feeding us a controled reality, an entire existance based
on propaganda.
Granted we live off of the media quite a bit already. Therein lies my
worry. There was a movie made awhile back about some president being in a
scandal and he hires a movie producer to create a war. "Wag the Dog" I
believe it was called. This shows that it is possible to create war,
famine, chaos and, ironically, control it. People in a "herd mentality"
are generally stupid and submissive. How do you keep those who are in
power from becoming greedy and wanting more power? How then does society,
with its fabricated blinders on, keep itself from becoming completely
controled, completely guided by "Big Brother".
Just the worries of another questioning member of the herd. |
