Forgot to mention Nightbreed! One of my all time favourites :-) And of
course Donnie Darko, with the universe´s second creepiest bunny... But
maybe that is not a horror movie, strictly speaking? ____________________

Silent Hill 2 isn´t that great. I´ve been meaning to play part 1.
Oh, don´t forget, playing Doom late at night intoxicated. Great fun.
Never beat 7th Guest. Phantasamagoria 2 *spelled correctly? i´m not looking
it up right now* was a pretty good game in terms of the gore factor. Wasn´t
scary but it was very gory.
System Shock 2 has to be the most disturbing game ever made. It didn´t
frighten me but some of the scenes in the game just make you stop and look
at the bloody carnage.....you even can pick up the crew logs and hear them
screaming as their bones are cracking, blood/internal organs spilling on
the floor and all the while as hybrids scream in victory. It is as
atmosphere as any good horror movie, and then some. You WILL look over your
back in worry that some creature senses you. *and they mutter things like
"the harmony is broken" and "i´m, sorry" in changing demonic voices just
before they attack you* Your weapons jam, especially in a heated fire
fight, your ammo is always low, you even see ghosts of the crew on the
ship, slowly dying, running away, having a causal conversation and yes,
even commiting suicide. There is alot to see and play in the game.
This is a great game and it doesn´t hold back. ____________________ but at least you know, just how much pain there is in living |

Blood Omen 2. That game kicked ass! I´m not much into the vampire thing at
all, but there was just something about cracking someone´s neck and then
watching the guy suck the blood out of the corpse while standing...so this
big jet of blood gushes up out of the corpse into his mouth and leaves a
mess *giggle* Oh and you can turn into mist when there´s any on the
ground, sneak up on people, and take their head off.
WOO!

I´m telling you though, if you want a game that will disturb you and you´ve
got a pepped up PC, you should check out System Shock 2. heh, it was even
named scariest game of 2002 by PC Gamer. I remember one scene in the game
where two hybrid *zombies* were playing catch with a human head, one turns
and throws the thing at you.
Speaking of pepped up PCs, you do have one you should check out Aliens vs
Predator 1/2.
1.
2.
Blood Omen 2, I´ve been meaning to check that out too. Can you rip out
people´s hearts in the game?
Oh, here´s another interesting game.Fatal

Clive Barker´s Undying fro the PC is the best horror game that I´ve
recently played... this and the /th Guest are the only computer games that
actually managed literally to scare me...
I played Undying at night, headphones on, no lights and two candles on
either side of my PC...
...once my cat jumped on my lap and I nearly landed on the floor with a
scream...
But a re-make or sequel to "The Exorcist"? I can bet my pink ears that it
will be crap - most modern horror remakes are. Shame... ____________________

Fucking A!
Wanna know something that pisses me off DevilBunny? I nearly had the game
beaten, I was in the spirit world and you know what happened? My computer
got a virus and I lost all my files. heh, I'm working on beating the game
again. Same with System Shock 2 and Half Life. I need to start playing
Blood, Shadow Warrior, Duke 3d and Doom again. Can't live without the
classics.
Speaking of classics, I also play old SNES games on my computer. Thank god
for roms!
Insomnia gives you ALOT of free time.
Mort, I've seen Event Horizon. Good movie, not really disturbing, I like to
hit the slow button during the end battle to get a good look at the gore.
Good stuff. heh.
Nice new format.

I really liked american magee's alice, but I'm not into the whole computer
game deal. I need a memory upgrade to play it better...I got quite far and
it kept getting choppier and choppier...I put in a memory card since then
but haven't had time to play it.
And Event Horizon WAS damned scary...Damned scary!
Also, the sigourney weaver/sam neil "snow white" was RAD. It was true to
the original grimm bros (there's a reason they were named "grimm")
story...I LOVED it.
Disney's evil queen can kick my ass. Sigourney Weaver was fucking WICKED. |

Alice, I never played it, I wanted to though. Still, the new design looks
amazing. Wonderland takes on new..."wonders."
Event Horizon, it is one of the better horror movies but it didn't scare
me. If I were around 9 or so, yes I'd be afraid to set out of the bed but
the movie was made then and such. heh.
Still, if you're watching any movie and someone sneaks up on you screamming
"BLAAAAAH!", it will make you jump. heh.

'Alice' was pretty good... I like the fact that they remembered that
Wonderland was supposed to be rather psychotic, twisted and weird... a bit
like the world after taking to much bad acid.
And if anyone read the two books that's just what the place was.
Everybody think's it's a child's tale. |

Ooh, you should get hold of a book called Vurt, you'll love it, I think.
Can't remember the authou right now, but he wrote another called Automated
Alice, I think the first was better. ____________________ All stressed out and no one to choke...

Children’s “innocent” fairytales of today are toned down for them.
The original versions were meant to explain to the child the concepts of
life, death, good and evil etc...they were much darker.
In all honesty, we BABY our children too much.
And you always must remember that they DO understand the world around them
and too much of a “good” thing will be bad. ____________________

No kidding...sugarcoated to give them good dreams rather than teach them a
"lesson".
Like the original snow white, cinderella..well ah any disney "classic" so
to say.
Especially the more "grim" ones...we don't wanna give our little ones bad
dreams and make them sleep in our beds, do we?
And Alice in Wonderland WAS a bad acid trip. |

Jepp, already the Grimm Brothers knew the value of the buck - they
allegedly toned their collection of European folk tales down to suit a
larger audience.
I remember one fairytale in particular - one of the originals - who started
with a young princess who was raped by her father because she reminded him
so much of the dead queen. When she ran away in horror, she had to cut off
her breasts and feed them to the dogs who followed her to distract
them...
I'd LOVE to see the Disney cartoon version of that tale ____________________ All stressed out and no one to choke...

Has anybody seen the movie "Grim Prarie Tales?"
It's kind of like a bunch of fantasy ghost-stories except all take place in
the Old West.
I haven't seen it since I was little but I remember it being pretty
twisted. |

No, but I have vivid memories of an eastern European TV movie called Grimm
On Ice... The scary, but yet strangely attractive wolf tried to trick the
little cute lambs to let him in with a song that was later a big hit here
when a local band did a cover of it...
"Mummy is here, now you can open the door, don't be afraid now, not aaany
more"... That must have been the initial reason for my taste leaning
towards "badasses", come to think of it... ____________________ All stressed out and no one to choke...
