Dog Soldiers
Six Men, Full Moon, No Chance
What makes this movie different from other movies like it, is that it's not a werewolf movie, it's more like a movie about soldiers, and they just happen to be fighting werewolvs.
It starts off with a group of Brittish troops running through the woods. The characters are pretty flat. Mostly doing just soldier stuff. If you aren't into that kind of thing, then the first 30 minutes can be a little boring. But when they setup camp you start to see character devolopment and actual dialogue.
Shortly afterwards, the action begins. Everything was going great, right up until they find the opposing camp. That's when the sun goes down and all hell breaks loose. The action really starts with the troops in a hasty retreat, lots of gunfire, and the occasional shot of claw or fang. Leading up to the guys boarding up an old farmhouse for their final stand.
The Effects for the werewolves is the best I've seen in a movie in a long time. The rest of the effects are pretty good, with only one wound that could have been done better.
So if you like movies about soldiers, werewolves, or both, I recomend watching this one.
