Breasts have got to be one of the best things about being a girl. Men, as lovely as they can oftentimes be, cannot truly appreciate the wonder of the female breasts. Nipples, nice as they are, and universal as they come, do not compare to the total wonder of the breast as a whole. Regardless of size, color, shape, firmness, or naturalness, the breast is a fascinating thing.

How often we hear the phrases "How beautiful she must have been when she was young", "Oh no, I'm starting to look old", or even "She's so perfect, you'd never know she was 40!" People nowadays have an obsession with youth, as strong as their obsession with being underweight. Life ends at 30, unless you have the proper beauty treatments, or maybe a good plastic surgeon. Wrinkles and gray hair are a curse.

Have you ever noticed how the light in the sky never changes in larger cities? My room is a dusky shadow that will not dissipate even with artificial light. Somehow, it has managed to be darker here in the morning than at night; it is difficult to sleep when the streetlights pierce through the windows into an otherwise dark room.

Sitting in an IHOP on the rambling day, the doubts begin to creep in. What the hell am I doing? Where am I going? What the hell am I thinking? My stomach starts to hurt a little bit, the neverending pancakes and cheap bacon resting like a timb bomb for my colon to disarm. Even though I can't speak for everybody in the world and in this matter I don't have a point of reference, I feel I am able to discuss my own view of the matter.
A "libertine" is a person who lives an immoral life and always looks for pleasure, especially sexual pleasure, is the dictionary definition. The definition is wrong. A libertine is a person who has risen beyond society's moldy expectations and policies, a person who is able to cherish his or her peers without judging them by their gender, race, religion, job, look, or practices, a libertine is a free individual who has understood a greater truth. Though the libertine life is condemned by many, it is the most amazingly happy existence anybody can imagine, since the dawn of men. I won't lie or pretend that it is not without risk, but when you realize how much you get back, if you only just love people for who they are, you feel you can cope with anything being thrown at you.

Riding in the car with the sunroof open late enough to see the moon on a cloudless night and the stars all around it. Not far away enough from the city to see all the stars, but far enough to see most. There's Mars, and a white moon with a shimmering purple aura around it that may be just my eyes.

During those few weeks when it's too hot to be called spring and too cool to call smmer, there's a lull that settles over everything and seems to make the idea of a siesta more and more appealing boring towards summer.
The days are sunny and bright, and down here there's a few clouds that play across the sky, moving fast with the wind pushing their shadows across the landscape, which can create a magical play across the pavements and sidewalks as children who are nearing the end of their school year wind up and get ready to escape outside again.

This city is history, wrapped in stories and covered in rumour and cowled in legend and has personality oozing from places new suburbs and the towns that crop up in the middle of nowhere will probably ever have-- any time you let your ears wander you hear music and laughing and screaming and crying, and any inhale at any given moment can inhale a thousand spices and foods and even shit you wouldn't normally breathe tinged with the aforementioned spices and food and river water. The air is so thin in the mountains it can make the veins in your neck thump all the way up to your ears when you're used to six feet below sea level and air so thick it bleeds when you swipe at it. I was used to this at one point though; much younger was my blood and maybe better suited to adapting like this. It's not good because I was moving furniture for people I loved enough to want them not to cripple themselves by moving it, and the drums of blood thunder in my head as if drummed upon by gods of Olympus, moving up the steps of the house.

It's four p.m. on the outer edge of the city, my brother and I the only people on an abandoned bus that's riding in to the heart od downtown via Canal Street. We don't get very far, and the bus only picks up two more people before the bus driver leans just enough so everyone can catch those two fifths of his face in the mirror that involve an accusing eye and a talking mouth that says "end of the line." And we stand, pushing our way out through the doors and into the last hours of daylight, kicking and screaming at the last half a mile to walk into the fray and the other half a mile to walk through the fray to the real battlefield of maneuvering.

It's Sunday evening in a city where time has no meaning save for the labourers and traffic cops who try to hold the last vestiges of order together from a mob of drunken revellers who have no attention alloted to seeing what they're stepping into or what they're stepping on. The tension of the city stomps over me and under me, and I can see the fading rays of sunlight just between the cracks and shadows of the alleys that engulf a crowd larger and rowdier and older than any concert with more booze being served. .

Winter Makes it hard to leave. Not physically, man has conquered the vice on nature compounding his freedom to move; but emotionally, mentally, it traps me. But winter mesmerizes. I watch the land fly by passively in the passenger seat of the car as I ride to the airport, the people around me drumming out the typical supportive lines of adventure, and how they wish they could do this.

I sit wearily in English class as a teacher who looks strikingly like my dear mother stands in the front of the class reading from a list of announcments, half bored with herself and with teaching a class of uninspired people who look to be on their third run of English classes. The longest and most syllable-intensive sentence she spews fourth proclaims itself to be the herald of several Tibetan monks on campus speaking to classes and creating a Mandala in the cafeteria stage area. The class ends shortly after, being that she has no further lessons to teach us and the syllabus prevents her from advancing as fast as she would like to. Just like my mother.
