Articles: Satanism |

Please note that the following submission isn’t something that we’d normally publish. However, things have been a bit serious around here and I thought this might be fun. A single “multi-post” post, if you will. When I first read this “article” I was thinking about how you all would respond; now I won’t have to wonder.
“He's pretty nice when you treat him with respect” really tickled me. -ickgirl
Okay, most of you might have heard of this, the whole Laci Peterson thing. Why the hell are they saying that she was sacrificed in a Satanic ritual? Fuck a duck man, as a Satanist myself, that's just bullshit.
I grew up in a Christian family, got tired of hearing this God bullshit, (no offense to Christians and Catholics out there) and became Wiccan. Got tired of that, now here I am. It pisses me off how people all over the place immediately label a Satanist as someone who sacrifices for their god. Those idiots out there need to do some research on Satanism, because it's against our religion to sacrifice at all. The only time we "kill" is for food if we have nothing to eat. People just see us as psychotic dumbfucks who need to be in jail. If you're a Satanist you probably get exactly what I'm saying here. The Xtians out there only believe what the bible says. I believe the reason we have a National Bible Burning Day is because of all the bullshit they put in there on Satanism. We don't sacrifice small animals, virgins, babies, or children. Now don't get me wrong, I have absolutely no problem with Christians. As long as they don't put down my god, then I'm cool with them. my best friend says she's a Satanist but is always saying "So help me, God.." or "God help me," something with God. Yes, it does bother me, but you people who put down on Satanists and Satanism and Satan himself need to get a grip. Meet him for yourself..I did. He's pretty nice when you treat him with respect. Now, if you're gonna e-mail me a bunch of shit about how much you hate this article I'm writing, go ahead. This has just been bothering me for a while and decided to write about it so you guys can understand this. Thanks for wasting about 6 minutes of your life reading this, I appreciate it! =P...........................bye! -jane

I wasn't aware that you could 'tire' of a religion. I mean, I guess you could get tired of trying to be cool, or you could grow out of a phase, but to *tire* of a religion? Maybe you mean that you decided it wasn't for you.
You said that your friend says things like "God help me" and then in the next sentence you said "yes, it does bother me" - do you mean that it bothers you that your friend says things like "Oh God" when she claims to be a Satanist?
Anyhow, in answer to your question, why are people saying that the murder was Satanic, they're saying it because they don't know anything about Satanism, and things that you know nothing about are very easy to hate and blame for all the bad things that happen to you.
"We don't sacrifice small animals, virgins, babies, or children." What about stupid people?

I realize that this caliber of work isn't something that is normally posted here (and I'm thankful for that), but damn if it doesn't make me feel better about my own writing skills and the small projects I'm currently working on! Rants are fine and dandy, but I've always found that it's a good idea to step back for an hour or two--or even a day--to let yourself cool down and re-read your thoughts before hitting the submit button.

So if the whole "God" in your friends vocablulary doesn't bother you, why did you bring it up? Honest curiousity here. As to the Laci Peterson case, the idea of a Satanist cult having a hand in this came strictly from the defense. Their job is to prove that someone else could have done it. So they are ofering up a theory. Granted, it's not a very good one, but it is them doing their job. They are playing to the media, to the public, and getting paid for it. And Xians, or Christians, whichever you prefer, don't all adhere strictly to the bible. Generalizations are a very dangerous thing my dear. Try and avoid them.

Well also if you claim to be a satanist, then you wouldn't state things are "against our religion" as Satanism is a non-religion and a philosophical mindset, hence NOTHING is against your non-religion, because you dont' HAVE to have rules to follow because they don't exist. yes lavey wrote the satanic commandments, but take in mind the man who wrote them, probably tounge in cheek and hand buzzer at the ready, intended them not as rules but as just simple common sense actions/reactions in life that DESCRIBE the satanist, not are SUBSCRIBED to by the satanist. Lemme break it down for you (as I've had to do quite often recently. huh) in modern laveyist satanism the devil doesn't exist. It's a catalyst for a mindset and a good way to instantly get someone's drawers in a knot. No Devil, you dig? It's athiesm with an agenda.
Most the the Psychotic Dumbfucks that claim the devil in their deeds are usually either a) crazy b)lying c) has a disassociative disorder d) your garden variety Devil Worshipper who DOES kill shit for kicks and religion (like the german couple...hello wacko!).
And I'd like to know, when you met the Devil, which form did he choose to unfurl his magnificent dark self to you? Snortable, injectible, or smokeable? I hear these days he's appearing as candy flavored chewables to appeal to the younger crowds.

Well, seems to me you're yet another who doesn't know the difference between a Satanist and a Satan-worshipper. But Bettie's already explained that better than I can.
By the way, the Bible doesn't say anywhere that Satan-worshippers sacrifice animals, virgins, or children. All it says is that there's a bad guy out there to get you, and a good guy who will rescue you from him if you let him. Just seems to me you believe the same, only switching the names.
How nice of you to be cool with Christians, as long as they don't put down your god. Too bad you can't do the same for them, instead of glibly labeling their beliefs as bullshit. By the way, you can't give offense and then expect to make it all better by saying "no offense". It's kind of like when my mom used to say "I won't nag, but..."
The use of the word "God" in the way you described is forbidden by the Christian faith, as using his name in vain. Why then should it bother you if your "satanist" friends say it? Anyway, you use the word "god" to describe your deity. How do you know that your friends are capitalizing it? Maybe they're saying "god" as in "Satan."
As for meeting Satan, I'm interested in knowing how you accomplished that. And how you knew for sure it was Satan when you saw him. Or if you just imagined the whole thing. You know, I met my imaginary friend the other day, and he is pretty nice when you treat him with respect, too. Doesn't mean he's real, or a god. I would think that someone with the power to contact Satan himself would write a far less ignorant and contradictory article about it.
Really, I hope you don't think anyone's going to bother to send you hate mail over this. Your article is not really offensive, just annoyingly misinformed and delusional.
You sound very young. Perhaps you will soon "get tired" of Satan-worshipping. Perhaps you will eventually get to the point where you believe what you believe because you've found it to be real, and not based on how tired you were of the last thing you tried to believe. Getting tired of things doesn't mean they aren't valid. I get pretty tired of having to change diapers sometimes, but they still exist and I still have to do them. Still doing something when you're tired of it is good proof that it's truly important to you.

And I'm sure Satan didn't appear to her in the classic biblical image of a serpent bodied woman, but a big red guy with horns and tail, right? I estimate that from her saying she met a "him" not a "her". Such an image was only conjured up in the last 400 years. Oh well, whatever floats their boat.
"He's pretty nice when you treat him with respect" So is Hitler's ghost, but power hungry tyrants tend to enjoy people groveling at their feet and bidding them respect and servitude. Stupid blanket statements and comments based on incorrect facts are always fun to break down, but this is some really sad stuff.
On the other hand, Its the story of a million high school students. Rebel against Jeudeo-Christian family life, take up Wicca cuz it's like cool, tire of the fact that its not all love spells and magick, and turn to a more "extreme" theo-philosophical mindset. Can you blame them? At least they don't just accept the force fed religion of their childhood as infalible truths. They try to expand and experiment, and maybe even learn. But the sad fact is, that the majority of teenage society is too obsessed with T&A, Highschool class struggles, their own narcissism, and television, to ever handle the sacrifice and time that it takes to practice a religion or philosophical mindset properly. Especially when its something rather different and complicated like Satanism, or even Wicca. But thats a given.
None the less, closed mindedness is becoming the new national sport, and it seems to me that the ones who whine about it the most, are just as repressed, confused, and unreasonable as the people that they condemn.

Reliwhat?

Once upon a time, Arthegarn had found a little time to read some Shmeng and, as he was having a walk through its gardens in the dusk, he stumbled upon one post labelled "religion". The Forbidden Fruit. He couldn't resist
So he took a bite and it tasted strange. Who's that Laci Peterson person? When he swallowed he realised he had to rephrase the question; Who was that Laci Peterson person? He decided to have a look at the internet and found a lot of information about how to give money to five different funds and little information of who she was or what happened- He concluded she had been killed by her husband. Big deal. No satan yet...
He decided that hte Laci peterson thing was just a first try and that he should bite the apple a second time. It tasted like God's bullshit, but he didn't get offended, he always thought "he does not offend who wants tu, but who is able to" and actually he liked the taste of God's bullshit anyway.
So he kept on eating the fruit, but he started getting tired of the taste. Now, of course eating a fruit (just like having a faith) has got absolutely nothing to do with getting tired, it's not about either fun or exertion so he kept on eating it, wondering perhaps what would have happened if Jesus had "gotten tired of God's bullshit" in Getsemani (no one got more of God's bullshit that Jesus, ya know)
But then he began getting confused, The fruit was going to his head or something. So what was this fruit all about? More definition problems? There are a LOAD of "satanists" arounds (as there are christians) all of them saying they are right and the rest of the chuirches is wrong. To say that satanism has nothing to do with sacrifices is like to say that Christianism has nothing to do with sacrifices. So, what is goth? Ask a goth and you'll get an answer, ask another and you'll get another, some goths don't even like black and catholic priests dress in black but sing mass in white and... Ow my, that fruit was making him think nonesense! "Well" he thought "if I am thinking nonsense I am in the right direction"
Then he couldn't help but remembering a conversation he had some years ago with Madrid's "bishop" of Lucifer's Light Church (luciferites). He had always liked debating with him, he had a keen mind, and many times they had spent the whole night debating some obscure point of morality (evil, he said, is as difficult to do as good is). So this person told Arthegarn (in the middle of a crescent ethilic intoxication) how a good fella he wash and haw a cleva fella he wash just he couldn't belif Arthegarn worshipped a filicide, and Arthegarn answered that he also wash such a cleva fella he couldn't believe he worshipped a loser. Now is that putting down Satan? Nay, after all he'd rather reign in hell than serve in heaven...
So Arthegarn finished his fruit quickly and found nothing more of interest on it, just he thought the apple was asking him not to finish the apple or something.
When he finished his apple he found he still was in the Garden of Shmeng. No Bettie with a flaming whip sent by Devin the Divine had appeared to kink his ass off...
Maybe that wasn't the forbidden fruit he thought it would be after all.

At the Shmeng party, if anyone gets me very, very drunk, ask me about my experiences with this sort of "magic". I won't say it can be done but I most definitely can't say it can't be done.

This may be a bit too obtuse for me...but this entire thing reminds me of a painting thingy I saw once, or maybe I didn't...I don't remember the french phrase exactly, but translated into english it is simply, "This is not a pipe." Surface wise it doesn't seem to fit at first...but the more I look at it I realize...
Satanism is not a pipe.
Heh heh...
