Articles: Got Those Rainy Day Bluuuuuuues!!! |

Ever had one of those days when there are dishes in the sink, trash overflowing, no yummy food in the fridge, nothing to hold your interest, and to top it all, everything is just barely dark and damp?
My past few weekends have been absolutely packed. I was constantly rushing from one thing to another. Shows, dates, friends, parties, shopping, anything and everything all happening at once! So I decided I would keep this weekend absolutely free. Give myself some time to myself. Catch up with my email, practice the piano, read a good book, take a nap, etc.
Instead, I've ended up in one of those moods where I'm neither tired nor energetic, and everything seems a dank, mouldy grey. I'm just rattling from one pointless activity to another, just passing time.
Does anyone else ever get like this? What do you do to snap yourself out of it, preferably something that doesn't cost any money!

Yea today is definately one of those days. I've been lying in bed all day. I got up, ate, and got back in bed. I was going to do some house stuff. I was going to fix the mailing lists for this site... I was going to try and get out of the house... I can see now that it's not going to happen. Oh well, at least the rain stopped.

today wanted to be a day like that, but I never got the chance to be listless. the roofers were here at first light and chainsawed half the roof off. nothing motivates like helpless rage.
I find that in those moods watching old movies (ya know the painfully happy ones where everyone is in love and you know that everything is goingto end well) works to get me doing something.
Either that or i calll my mom, again that helpless rage thing motivates me.
or mooch around the houseing eating cookies straight from the bag.
