Once upon a time people used to post thoughtful, interesting stories on this site, and we used to approve just about every post that was submitted. Now it seems we're reduced to terrible poetry and short little posts about how much people want to die. Here's some examples of what we haven't been approving. Read on...
Crappy Poetry:Ode to the oppressedO yae! O yae! Here cometh he who hath the face of an angel! Yet possesses the spirit diabolical, Ye who are the misfortunates, despair not, Ye who hath been cursed, spit at he who destroys and offers salvation, Ye with a body weary, With a visage upon which suffering hath carved its abode let the fire that hath consumed your soul burn fiercer still, and transform into a spirit steeled, And wreak vengeance against the injustice and the fear, for we all know although two wrongs do not make a right Should we thank ye who hath shat in our faces? It seems someone thinks they're poe. They're not. This is 2002 - we talk different nowdays. I think the author of this probably talks different too. Writing poetry in someone else's voice is like bad acting. And trying to use metaphors that you can't see is like um... wearing green shoes with yellow flowers on them in the mud.Reality Deprived:in the endTime of death 11:46pm, it's all over now. No more pain, no more life, i don't even have to go to school and listen to the lifeless blob of flesh that gives out work yell at me for being diffrent. No more will i stand out, no more will they call me freak and throw things at my decaying body, to them i was less than nothing. Well i stoped it all, the pain, the suffering, and all the agonizing torment of my human exestance. How i lived so long i'll never know i lived to die alone because nothing is forever and my indevidualty dies with me cold in this graveyard.Come back to earth kiddo. Living in fantasyland will get you nowhere. Bitching about it won't even get you that far. People like this need to decide if they want to be different or not, and what they're different from. You can say something that everyone agrees with, and still make them want to kick you in the teeth. After hearing a concept presented the same way a hundred times, tolerance is a hard thing to come by. This one's particularly amusing because the author is claiming to be smart, and spelling with one letter words (and e e cummings can get away with punctuating like that cuz he's brilliant - emulating brilliance does not make you brilliant - although I'm sure that was not the intention). I've never actually met someone who's told me they were smart and has actually turned out to be.Second Languageneed helpI wrote this , cause I have a few problems with this stuff. I had a lot of changes in my life in near past and I need to find someone who could give some answers on my questions. I live in Czech rep. and that is not "the right place" for this type of life. Thanks for your help. VladIIEnglish as a second language is no excuse for writing and not saying anything. Poison and Arthegarn are not from english speaking countries, and sometimes you'll see a spelling or grammar error, but they're always saying something interesting, so it doesn't matter. Write in Czech for all I care, just say something interesting. Or just say something at all...

Eehck.
But look on the bright side- 200 members, and maybe 5 regularly post? Just imagine the crap all 200 might post, given the odds that 90% of the population is subnormal?

I'd post more if I wasn't so damn busy. I'd post some news too - but again, the busy things keeps kicking my ass. I often come here and read, check the pictures, admire everyone else, etc., but I work 80 hours weekly now with my new business + old job.
I'll work on a good news story to post - perhaps I'll be more active in the forums too; just as soon as I either lose a job or find a way to make money at home.

Devin, thanks for that, I'm farelly flattered, but I have to complain about something *don't kill me*...alright, I can't post anything in the forums, it just always says "error...or whatever". I hate that.
I've been on shmeng for about 8 months now, I think I'm the 56th registered user, and I always found the posts interesting. It just started to be weird when I saw that Tracy girl's post...wow.
And I think some members just join for the hell of it, that's alright, as long as they don't submit crappy stuff, or so I think.

Guess I'll have to try and do my part, when I'm not blowing up helpless afghani's (heh heh) and pulling bullets out o' people. Yikes though...some of that stuff was just a little out there. You do a good job of filtering the crap out of the waters Devin. You should bring up a page where everythings posted...jus' so we can redicule people...I mean hey, whats wrong with being mean every so often...it's good for the blood, or something.

Please, please everyone don't be intimidated and NOT post just because you are risking ridicule. Life is full of risks! But seriously, I think everyone has interesting stuff to share.
But let's try to get this site back to what it should be...a forum for SHMENG! Not a poetry site. Fine, post your poetry, but I'd much rather read the simple stuff. Tell a detailed and interesting story about something shmengy.
This site rapidly became about dreams and poetry...isn't there ENOUGH of an outlet for that stuff already out there?

We get these over and over in Spanish forums, mostly from Latin America (they usually include some anti-american slogan) Sigh! All capitals, no puntuation marks, and no ortography whatsoever (It's hard to translate they ortography to English but... It's things that hurt your eyes, like "I habe")
