I was going to write something about sex or politics or religion, something nice and antagonistic to get the posts rolling in. But i got this email and I felt like making a fuss. And, as everyone here can testify, im good at kicking up a fuss.
So i got this, well spam, from "TrafficMagnet.net". They want me to pay to have Shmeng listed in the search engines. Now the idea of filling the search engines with bitter, vitrolic hate and badness. Its almost worth whatever cost to polute the search engines even more than they already are. To polute the pollution with a venue for complaining about the pollution, well you can see the sick thrill there can't you?Then i got the idea that maybe I wasnt the only one that got this mail. I mean its not like i am listed as the owner or webmaster after all.That means that is a traitor (and a stoooopid one at that) in our midst, or they stripped the emails off this site and spammed us all. Either way, i dont like getting spam from silly companies. I wondering if anyone else got this email too. I forwarded the email to the spam police because Im that kind of Bitch. Break the law and get caught and take the penality.IF anyone else did get this lovely little email of capitalism-run-rampant, please send it to the spam police and post here so that i can post more hate mail to the company, as a repsententative of Shmeng. giggle.End Transmition.........

Actually, I've gotten a bunch of those too - but I assumed they got my address off of the domain registration.
As far as search engines, I've been trying to get this site listed in some of them for a while now. If anyone wants to submit it, go ahead. (Yahoo and dmoz don't seem to like me). Here's where the search traffic comes from now (in order from most to least).

Hotbot and altavista also have listings but I never see any hits from them. If you use a different search engine and this site doesn't come up when you search for the word shmeng - go ahead and submit it.

I got it about a month ago and ignored it... thought they'd just made a mistake somewhere... although why they'd send it to me is unclear, cause I just post here, I don't run it or anything... anyway, I'd just gotten up and was tired, and deleted it as of no consequence... didn't think too much about it... odd that others are getting this too, besides Devin, who can be expected to get this stuff...

I get spammed regularly with these things, but I always assumed they came from hits on my costume-design Web site. I've never gotten one that specifically mentioned Shmeng.com, but then again, I delete a lot of spam without reading it.
