Articles: I myself, am amazed by Life’s little coincidences |

I follow Eris blindly…
Which truly seems to work considering that she is a goddess of mischief anc confusion. Now… before anyone makes any comments about religion, organized or otherwise… I recommend you save your time - you will not be able to change my path.
A little bit of background. I was born to a pair of full blooded Romani – Gypsies to the root foot. My parents made some grave mistakes that ended with me in the custody of the state. Then placed me with a profoundly Christian family. I spent my life knowing I was adopted and studying the ways of my people. – BUT – My adopted parents spent their time trying to convince me of their ways. The only reason I even begin to bring this up is for one simple reason… I DO NOT WANT TO BE TOLD HOW I AM WRONG… If I am wrong – remember that ignorance is bliss, and I am happy… SO HA!
I was born and raised in New Orleans. My family moved to Olathe, Kansas just in time to ruin my high school career… After graduation, I met a girl, and she moved to New Orleans of all places… and I traveled to my home town to be with her. She hurt me, a cut to the soul. And In my grief, I wandered into a shop on Bourbon Street and met someone that changed my life.
She and her SO (significant other) became really good friends. Those two, were the most important people in my life for the longest time. They moved and I lost touch with em…
About two weeks ago, I was thinking of them both, as I often do. The same day, I joined Shmeng (credit to Vampcourt). I started chatting with one of the members of Shmeng. And we started discussing our past. And things started adding up. Too close to be a coincidence.
To sum up: 6 years later, thousands of miles apart, close friends meet up again without planning on a message board in cyberspace. Out of the millions of html documents, and the millions of people "online", the chances of this kind of thing happening are astronomical. Add to that the fact that in a years time, completely independently of each other, they all decide to move back to the big easy – there is too much to be a simple coincidence.
Throughout my life, after I found Eris, FNORD and Kallisti (read the principia discordia, it'll educate you and if you understand it… you're one of us!), coincidence seemed stacked in my favor. I have seen a light… my path is different from yours, try to understand that, and stop trying to pull me to your path…
Callei… this is for you and your shadow… I love you guys… and the Feral One is more than pleased to have found you… Hail Eris and Glory to Discordia…

I suppose I should be suprised. I'm not. Not suprised that callei would scrape up a vibey stranger and patch him up. Not suprised that callei would find me and my useless websites. Not suprised that court and I kept in touch after randomly bumping into each other in chat. Not suprised that court would bump into someone like feral and keep in touch. Not suprised (although flattered) that she would drag him here. And certainly less suprised than they are that feral and callei know each other. This is all called being "On the Vibe" and that's about All I'm gonna say about my religion for fear of starting another unsanctioned holy war.

I say Hail Eris... there won't be any holy war... as I frankly could give one festering rat shit about someone's religion that is there choice... and fraknly, I am not going to try to make anyone follow eris... we're too exclusive for that...

And I kept coming back again and again, every few months and then one day it was "right" to start posting. sorta like the really great people that i did meet in seattle that scattered to the wind, and email me from Spain and Thialand whenever they remember.
Sorta like how bad sex only happens when you know that the other person is only there for shmengy reasons.
Dev, thanks for the space.
