Articles: My First club Experience |

About a week ago I played at an out of town club that I had never been to before. Right off the bat I felt comfortable about that night. I began as my usual self would start off the evening. Flirting with the door girl on my way in I notice that there aren't that many people there but it is still early...
The night goes on and the first band plays a pretty good set. The club is still nearly empty and we go on in 5. I really didn't care about the people not showing up I was just glad to perform that night. the club owner was playing scenes from dark city behind us on the big screen.
we played a really good set and then packed up our gear but we stuck around for the next band. The door girl sat next to me at the bar and she had a really nice pair of boots on, with buckles down the back-side. Our bass player had the same pair of boots on but we agreed that they looked better on her.
The club owner liked us and re-booked us at the club and when we hit that town again we are going to catch-up with some old friends.
The girl who sat next to me at the bar is going to be at the next show, everything about that enviroment will taste so pure once I am graced with her magical presence once more.

Re: Re: My First club Experience by Xaoswolf (Xaoswolf@hotmail.com) on May 31, 2002 - 07:08 AM (User info | Send a Message) http://Xaoswolf.tripod.com | Well, the Wicked Witch of the West was known for socks, and ruby slippers, not boots and buckles.
That leaves the Lucky Charms Leprechaun, and Siegfried and Roy. Both wear odd boots, and have buckles. Now after watching the Leprechaun movies, I know that if you meet the Leprechaun, he beats you silly with his shilieghli (probably horribly spelled, but it's not my fault, they should have just called those things "beating sticks" or the ever popular "ugly stick". Of course, ugly stick ain't half as fun to say when drunk...) then killed.
Since there was no mention of that happening, I would guess that it was Siegfried and Roy magical, to which I must say, run, and run fast. Do not go back, and what ever you do, do not look directly at the cod piece. |

Re: Oh shit! I looked!! by Xaoswolf (Xaoswolf@hotmail.com) on Jun 02, 2002 - 11:34 AM (User info | Send a Message) http://Xaoswolf.tripod.com | *runs over to the glass case on the wall. see's a sign that read "in case of cod peice break glass". Picks up the little hammer, breaks the glass, pulls out a little bottle of bleach and some steel wool.*
Don't worry, help is on the way. |
