I'm drinking heavily after a seriously bad day at work, so forgive the typoes...
Rayce, your book has serious promise. Please please please work on it. I can so identify with writing yourself into a corner.I have chucked entire chapters of Toy Dolls when the characters refused to listen to me. It is easy to find yourself staring at the page and asking questions like "Yeah, but now what?" But it is worth it to read every sentance until you find the one at which the plot diverged from a position which you can support.
Addditionally, keep in mind that the corner you have written, while perhaps difficult, is something to keeep in mind later. it invariably gives insight into the characters that can be re-described later and at a point where you won't want to wring their necks for doing something so stupid.
Whatever it takes, don't give up. Most recently, I ended up titling the latest text doc "Toy dolls chap. 26....txt" That gave me an open end that i could just keep working on without size limits or chapter problems and it has helped me immensely. It's the little things sometimes.
