I do plan to go back to school but I think I'm going to wait until my kiddo is old enough to be home alone at night. I want to go to college to be a photo journalist but it just isn't possible right now. So that is why I am sitting here looking at going to college for a trade as something that seems almost pointless. I want a blue collar job but by the time I finished college and got a job I would be going back to school again for my journalism degree. I guess that would be ok as there is no such thing as too much education.

My dad is a blue collar mechanic. He went through a vocational program at a local high school. He went through deisel mechanics. He has a crappy job with a small business and has horrible health care benefits. He wont be able to get much of a retirement with them. He's worked many jobs and is very skilled in what he does. Sadly with most automobiles switching to computer technology he cannot get into that field very much. Even the farm equipment he works on is getting more and more high tech. He is trying to get a job with the local school district, but is having a hard time. He was trying to get a job with Busch Gardens but they never responded. Life sucks for the blue collar workers too.
