I do not think that I could write an article about that as it is still very painful for me, but I made many mistakes with my first submissive. I have also known other Dominants who have suffered post partum depression when a relationship has proved to be incompatible. Certainly, there is a question of reputation for a Dom(me), but there is also the private mourning that happens whenever someone that you care about is no longer a part of your life and you have nobody to blame but yourself.
A submissive feels all of this as well, in addition to developing trust issues and feelings of insecurity and worthlessness. I agree with you completely that they have the lion's share of the difficulties. Dommes and Doms, however, are expected to be "strong" and manage themselves without any external support. I agree that Dominant's issues would be a very interesting article, but I am not convinced that it would be very well received.
