The RIAA is so evill. Iwas using audiogalaxy for a while until they went under. There aren't many webservers, however, that ar not affiliated with the RIAA, because it is very easy to force hosting providers to shut to down the sites with the threat of a lawsuit. For example, the University of Minesotta (if I remember correctly) in which several students received fines of up to $15,000 for starting a shared service on the server.
That's the great thing about the P2P system, there is no central location to shut down, it's just a bunch of freely networked computers.
