Oh I agree with you completely. There's no problem with experimenting, testing waters, etc., but too many of the kids today bore themselves into a hole with it. They conjure up such an incorrect image of what they're doing and practicing, that when the truth finally gets out and they see how wrong they've been, it turns them off to the idea. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
And I do feel that those who preach loudest preach to themselves, most definitely. It caries over to the post I made in the forums about Religion. More often than not, the zealot Christians and Catholics who spout condemning remarks and hateful passages from the Bible, are usually just trying to bolster their own faith. None the less, I have noticed you speaking out when Satanism gets brought up on the site, and there’s no problem with setting the record straight, and informing the misinformed. I could point out tons of examples where I’ve been totally incorrect, and generally someone (Monolycus, Feralluce, you) have corrected me. And you know what. Nothing makes me happier. I love to learn from my mistakes. Unfortunately some people don’t take it well, but what the heck.
One thing that will most likely never change is that people are usually obsessed with their image. Whether it be cloths, friends, or religious beliefs, some people will try and use them to their advantage, to seem cooler, deeper, or more worldly. I don't know much of anything, but I do know that it takes more than a minor (and incorrect) grasp of a philosophical belief to start preaching to people about how "I'm a Satanist, and that Christian bullshit, not that I don't like them, is stupid, and my Satanism is more right than my friends, cuz she says 'God' sometimes, and my black is blacker than your black" and anything else of that ilk. That kind of attitude is counterproductive, and quite frankly, fucking stupid.
