No, I didn't want to offend her or do something so rude that others might pick up on it and continue to judge foriegners as rude and ignorant of the culture of Korea. I smiled at her and said in flawless Korean "Sec-ee-ya, see-bal-yung-a" and walked away.
If you want to learn to swear in Korean, try saying that sometime to a Korean in the know, but be ready for a big fight, that is hands down the a combination of the vilest and most vitrolic of all the english swear words. Good to know when you don't want someone to be confused about being insulted. I try to raise the bar in Korean. I study the culture and understand the people, and when someone is going to swear at me I don't want them to think I'm rude for answering in English.
