I haven't read the books that you mentioned so I was not clear as to their specific content. I know that it gets tedious to do it every time, but I think that cautionary statements should be made as explicit as possible every time. Seems to me that there was one of the younger members of this board that was recently making inquiries into these kinds of activities (I'm wondering how much of the prison population can begin their tales with a similar statement?), and young people aren't reknowned for tempering their experimentation with a great deal of restraint (no pun intended). By writing an article that was focused on the accessibility of bondage without making the consequences as clear as possible, it seemed to me to be enabling people to jump feet first into something that could get them very, very hurt.
People get tired of hearing it, but the mantra of many deviant adult communities is SSC for "safe, sane, consensual". I just think you could have stressed that a bit more clearly.
