The actual impact of the deaths of Archduke Ferdinand or John Cainnedeach are very much the products of revisionist simplifications, but (as history seems to be more art than science) it doesn't bear debating. It is by our deeds that we impact the world around us, and by our decisions that we are judged. Our deaths are neither deeds nor decisions.
There are those who will be contented with only all or nothing. If that is your scope, I wish you the best, but we are concluded.
