I'm with you, Shade. It didn't seem to me that anybody's character was assassinated outright (as for myself, you don't harbor the kind of deep-seated conspiratorial paranoia that I do and not get trivialised every so often for it). I was actually a little disappointed in places; Anonymity should give one license to be, at the very least, scathing. I did get several chuckles from the article, not the least of which was from the troll link our mysterious author so thoughtfully provided (not entirely sure how I made it this far without ever having read that!)
I think the sticky wicket here is the idea that someone who is "anonymous" would know us so well. I doubt very sincerely that s/he is quite as unfamiliar to us as s/he would have us believe... but then, I do tend to read too much into things. Maybe my tin foil hat is too tight.
