excellent article if i may say, i am much more enlightened into what goth actually is, all i have previously known before coming to this site is the sterotype which i took in part to be the real thing. in my ever enduring quest to not be goth because thats what some ppl said i was and other said i wasent and becuase goth isent something thats really ME and what i am striving to be is ME and no1 else i have come across all my own values thoghts and views on life and death, who i am, who others are, what that means in relations to other things, and nething else i can find in a trunk. apparantly most of these match with what is in the artice written here, meaning that in my search for being me without label im more goth than my friends who say they are goth...who are apparantly now, stereotypes of the worlds perception on goth...
and if i may add one last thing, you are absolutly right about the fact that having one obvious thing in commen does not make 2 people the same in any way, i am currently enrolled in a school that i hate, i agreed to go there soleley to get away from the clutches of my mom and for better dance training, there are three catagories of student at this school, dancer, cadet, and pursuits (canadian studies) -to advert confusion, its an acadamy(meaning it has a uniform, bleck) where cadets can go for something in school training and its very focused on canada- i am a dancer, and very proud of it except for the fact that every dancer there (with a few minor exceptions) is a complete airhead, i have 6 friends who are dancers that go there and ther not really my better friends except for 1, all my good friends are pursuits or cadets, so just because im a dancer does not mean that i have anything in commen with that bunch of airheads that mainly dont like me anyway so it doesent really matter if i can stand them for the day or not. not to mention going to the school in general is hell, i hate uniforms everyone looking the same day in and day out and as each other too is wrong in my opinion, luckily we did get a chance to voice our opinions on it and how we could change it to make it a good dress code but still have it. there has been no survey about how we could change the school yet but if there is i might need extra paper...althogh it probably doesent matter cosidering im moving schools next year anyway...
sorry for taking up so much space if you have gotten this far you are very faithfull and most likeley bored reader, thank you for listening...
