I learned a phrase way back when i was young that has stuck with me thru the years. Every now and then it even gives me nightmares.
What you resist you become.
and its corilary
When the attentions goes, the enegry flows.
And if you work it thru, how many us us set out to be "goth"? didnt we get labeled as goth and get mad and sad and shunned for being something that we didnt identify with at first?
Didnt we all know all the things that made kids normal, every single one, and point out those normalities all the time to anyone that would listen? (this is known as the amoeba stage in goth development btw)
Didnt we resist being "freaks" with all that we had until all we could see was freaks?
If you resist being a bad parent, then you arent spending any time on being a good parent. all your attention and enegry are spend on not being a bad parent.
