Watch Your Mouth Date Friday, April 26, 2024 - 06:57 AM PST Topic Icky People I had the misfortune yesterday to run into a very unpleasant person. I went to the laundromat to pick up the clothes I had left drying merrily away. When I parked, I saw a car with a bumper sticker that said "Life's a Witch, Then You Fly" on it. I knew that car. It belongs to my boyfriend's ex's mother. So either she or his ex's younger sister was there. Probably the sister, because I heard she worked there. But I wasn't too worried, because I had never met her, and I didn't think she has ever seen me. Well, I went into the laundromat, and went to my dryer to pull out my clothes. Right next to me was a little group of teenager-ish people folding clothes. One girl was talking about "my sister's kids". I pricked up my ears, to find out if this was the sister I had never seen. Sure enough, eventually she mentioned the kid's names, and they were my boyfriend's children. But then the little loser (a whore like her mother and sisters) started bashing on my boyfriend, saying stupid and untrue things about him, and even referring to "them" in a manner that could only mean him and me. And if she had just glanced over, she would have seen me pulling his unmistakable bright orange shirt out of the dryer. She kept going on and on. And she never had a clue who I was. I didn't know whether to confront her or not. There were so many things I wanted to say, and I couldn't choose, so I kept my mouth shut. And smiled very sweetly (and a little poisonously) at her as I walked out the door with my big bag of folded laundry. I told my boyfriend about this, and he told his ex when he was over there getting some of his stuff. So next time I'm in there doing laundry, I'll be sure to smile very, VERY sweetly at her, because I'm sure his ex will tell her and give her a good description of me. And I'm very describable. I hope to make her squirm. Stupid little rat.
