Hyannis is a small town on the cape of Massachusettes. Home of a little interesting store named "The Funky Monkey", wonderful bed and breakfasts, and some of the best clam chowder I have ever tasted. Hyannis is also home to a beautiful sidewalk artist, I suppose you could call her.
In search of this clam chowder and some window shopping I happened to walk beside some lovely chalk drawings on my path. I quickly stepped aside in order to not destroy these lovely pieces of art.

Scanning a few feet in front of me I caught a glimpse of the creator. She was a young brunette, perhaps eighteen years of age, and full of a wonderful vibe. She was just emenating of this vibe that made me want to bring warmth to her. I could only see her backside as she lay facing away from me, but I could just feel so much of her spirit floating towards me.

As I continued to walk past her I glimpsed her face as she looked up. Deep, dark brown eyes peered up at me. They seemed to play out a horrid past. Her face was gentle and angelic, the jaw lines so strong yet soft. Her long hair was pulled partially back, the rest curling around to frame her face. Her lips looked so soft and pink.

I felt to close to her. I spoke not a word to her, and she none to me, but I felt so protective of her. I wanted to hold her, keep her warm, keep her safe.

It was June, yet very cold to me, and I would have given up my jacket just to lay there with her and watch her complete her work. Unfortunatley I could not, so I merely smiled at her.

As I ate my chowder across the street, I watched her through the window. She continued to work. Finally she stood, looked in my direction, and smiled slightly. I returned this gesture. She walked away just as three cold hearted teens walked by my window.

Where she went, I am not sure, but I still think of her. I still wish I could have stayed there with her. I still wish my mom and her husband had not been with me, for if they were not I would have stopped to talk to her.

Wherever you are warm, lovely, brunette vibey girl I hope you still remember me, and I wish you luck with your art.
