I had an interesting thought today. Every day individual cells in your body die, but you yourself remain alive...If one accepts that when something dies, when something goes from being life to being inert matter, something happens and a portion of the matter is converted to energy, then what if those dying cells are responsible for auras?
And if that's true, then maybe an aura is about 1/100000000000 of your ghost/spirit/soul/whatnot? For example, say a liver cell dies, then a very small part of your aura would be "liver energy" until it is separated from the rest of your aura and replaced by the energy of more recently dead cells.

But a liver on its own can't survive as a separate life form. It needs other organs to perform the functions in which it is not specialized. By the same token the energy of a liver on its own can't survive as an "energy form". The law of conservation of energy states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed, but what if instead of being destroyed the liver energy simply lost its coherence and was converted to some form of everyday energy?

But when a person dies, so much of that person dies that there is enough energy to maintain a certain form, and thus you have ghosts, spirits, and so on.

But what about the spirits that look a little less than human? Well, its been proven that when you touch something a portion of your aura breaks off and attaches itself to whatever you touched. This breaking and attaching could be responsible for some sort of "ghostly evolution" and thus you would have all sorts of other spirits.

Why does a portion of the aura break off from the main aura though? Perhaps the energy of an aura seeks balance. When you touch an object with your hand, some energy from the dead cells in your hand will break off from your aura and attach to that object if it doesn't have any hand energy attached to it. The same is true for the liver energy mentioned above, but only if the object touches an area close to your liver. The energy from dying cells will stay with your aura indefinitely, unless you touch an object that lacks similar energy. You obviously can't go through life not touching anything, so you're constantly losing energy, and this loss makes room for more energy from other dying cells.
