The Good, the Bad, and the Bank Date Thursday, April 25, 2024 - 07:33 AM PST Topic Rant My bank just froze my atm card. They tell me that I can call back on Monday to get it "all sorted out". I can't call on Monday. I will be on a plane going to a much needed vacation. Ok I would be on a plane except now i cant pay the taxi to take me there. I was going to use my atm card for that. Nor can I take out a little extra cash to convert when I get in to Charles de Galle. Did i mention the roofers showing up at 6:45 this morning with buzzsaws? Or that out of nowhere my landlord is turning coy? How about all the spiders that rained down from the now nonexistant roof? I know I mentioned my allergies. How I ask, trying not to scream while calling the help line for my bank, how can this all be happening at once? Why shut off my card of without telling me? What was the point? Why I ask my landlord, while trying not to beat his head in, why didnt you bother to call me about the roofers? Why break the civil code? Why piss off the only tenet that has ever given you a good stock tip? Why I ask myself, while trying not to faint, why do I have to be arachnophobic?
