People will be as they are, and that will never change so long as the human race exists. It is in our nature. We base our lives on what our meager experiences lead us to believe, and many of those experiences for a number of people lead them to be afraid of the "anti-norm"..meaning anything different from what they're used to and comfortable with.
Unfortunately this means they're afraid of us. Now, admittedly, I'm rather proud to say I have my little mid-missouri town I can't afford to move out of rather scared out of their wits of me. And I admit I find it rather amusing that every single person living in the trailer park I live in has tons of problems from the idiots, and not one of them dares bother me. I thank people when they call me freak behind my back, and grace them with one of my oh so rare smiles, and a genuine one at that.

I smirk and glare at those I hear caling me a satanist or devil worshiper, and laugh when they hurriedly look away, or go hide around the corner. I make a habit of telling poeple that I'm going to sacrifice their still beating hearts to the dark gods when I see them bothering some poor kid walking down the street just because he's a bit different from them. And I feel rather warm and fuzzy when they scream at me to stay away from them and run away.

I am who I am and I am good at what I am good at, and I for one am damn proud of who and what I am, as well as where my skills lie. And for good reason, as I see myself as kind, generous and soft-hearted, with a mean streak extending only so far as it takes to make the idiots go away and to keep the poor kids that fear for themselves because they choose to be different from HAVING to fear.

I'm proud to scare the crum out of people, for those two very reasons. and anyone that chooses to look past what the others can't, blessed be they for they see with their hearts.

And there ARE a good number of them, if you ignore the imbeciles long enough to notice them. young and old, all ages and all types of poeple I've found to enjoy a nice, intelligent conversation with.

I say wear your mask with pride, for that mask is you. Ignore the imbeciles, so you can see the man woman or child just the other side of them who is looking for someone with a different view on the world to discuss it with, just so they can see the world thru another's eyes and try to make life happer for everyone.

And blessed be the children who see only truth. teach them well to keep their eyes and not lose them by time. And blessed be you and anyone else that reads this. Peace be your charm.
