Topic Rant

So, I've moved off of peaceful Vashon Island, WA, where there was plenty of open space, fresh air, and quiet times. Now I'm back in San Diego, and am going through shock, surrounded by concrete, people, smog, and loud polka/circus-like Mexican music fills the air.
I call this particular neighborhood Ghettoville. I'm about the only white female in this area and therefore a target. I can't walk outside without being gawked at by dirty people, begged for money, offered drugs, or hearing something said in my direction that I'm sure is lewd in spanish. Though there are many beautiful people here, I'm beginning to miss the ugly people of Washington, and their inherent fear of other people, which is really sad. The worst part is that I'm flipping out in the same environment I was in before moving to Washington only 5 months ago! I remember that for many reasons I love and missed this city, but damn I hate reacclimating to such drastic changes!!!!

It's kind of sad to know that I'll be totally used to this environment again soon, and won't know how to handle the peacefulness of a forest when I'm back in it... =^..^=
