I would think that most everybody knows the age-old idea that children and
animals are much more "sensitive" to the unseen. Like when a cat stares at
something in a corner when there is nothing in the corner, that sort of
thing.
Okay, the other night, I was trying to get the pdoling down for the night,
and, as usual, she decided this was the perfect time to play. I finally
turned off the light in the bedroom and stood there hoping she would settle
down. She played for a little while longer, then sudenly stood up, turned
to the window to th backyard (her crib is right beneath it) and started
waving and saying "hi" very excitedly. I didn't think anything of it, and
after a few minutes, picked her up and tried rocking back and forth. While
I was holding her, she turned her head to my right, which was the opposite
direction of the window, popped her head up again, and began waving and
greeting all over again, still very excited. Still not thinking anything of
it, I asked if she was saying hi to all the ghosties, then turned my head
in the direction she was waving and said "Ok guys, I appreciate the
company, but it's Eva's bedtime, so you need to get going."
And she stopped.
Being totally honest, I didn't freak out, but the incident definitely got
filed away under the "That was odd" file. Has anybody else had something
like that happen, especially involving a youngin'?

Hunh...I wonder what that could have been.
Still is it any surprise at all that she's sensitive? Heh, hray!
My nephews occasionally tweak out over things most of us cant see...perhaps
it has something to do with the veil of disillusion not yet being cast over
their eyes.

One night, Michael and I were sitting on the living room couch after we had
put Riley to bed. She was sound asleep (we know, because she talks to
herself when she is awake). We were watching TV, when we both saw, sort of
out of the corners of our eyes, something like a dim light moving in the
hallway, which disappeared at her door. It was the sort of thing that you
would have questioned if the other hadn't seen it too. However, as soon as
it disappeared, we heard Riley say "Hi there!"
So what appeared as a dim light to us apparently looked like something
worth greeting to her.

I don't have any experiences quite as odd as these involving any young
children, although my baby sister would often stare up towards this
particular spot on the living room ceiling and smile and giggle and such.
It was very odd indeed but that house was haunted so I'm not surprised.

Lately, we've been having a bit more activity around here than usual. The
cats are making sure to keep it obvious too...which is a good thing.

I have a theory that if you get a strange feeling or think you see
something out of the corner of your eye when you pass a room or something,
that there must be some sort of spiritual essence or being there.
I don't get it often, but when I do I know it.
I have a friend who was staying with me and she walked into the other room
to have a conversation with a ghost in there. She says they were looking
for the way home.
