Sounds like night terrors to me, but I really can't say. I get those too,
where I can't move and like, dream with my eyes open. Hallucinating, but
like, not. Hard to explain. Plus, always that damn feeling of sheer terror
for absolutely no reason.
It's actually kind of funky.
Like, after. It's like vomiting, it sucks while it's going on, but after
I'm all like, whoa that was awesome.
if it IS night terrors, doctors can give you pills that repress them, but
other then some relaxation methods and sleep therapy and shit, I think
that's pretty much all they can do. Also, I was told that night terrors
occur for a few reasons; too much stress, lack of sleep, and brain tumours.
Let's hope it's not that last one.
EDIT-wait this was posted like two years ago? My God lol-nevermind me then
lol.

Im not really sure what to make of this, but I find it a little disturbing.
I havent posted much in the past. I logged on tonight for the first time
in probably a month to post none other than sleep related/dream problems
only to find out that it was a somewhat current topic. I really would like
some input because I am wondering if my two conditions maybe related or
not. The FIRST is that I have insomnia & panic related issues along with
sleep amnea which translates to very poor sleep sometimes waking up only
moments later gasping for breath or in a state of fight/flight. The SECOND
is that I have had dreams though rare but enough to be troublesome. The
dream situation ill try to explain with a dream that happened about 2 years
ago. When I am able to dream it is usually entirely with regards to
fighting from supernatural to the mundane barfight. Hell I once was 3
inches tall riding a horse charging a house cat with a lance but I digress.
With the majority of these dreams I usually have the feeling of total
control. During this dream in particular I was walking up to a new orleans
"anne rice style" mansion in the early summer afternoon. Very pleasant
weather. My gut at the time knowing that it will always result in a fight
was that this was going to be a vampire/undead encounter and I went in
reasurring myself that since the setting was so mundane and unoriginal that
it would be a cake walk. Im not sure if you are even able to recognize a
dream as unoriginal but I remember thinking to myself that in the dream. I
opened the double doors and a cookie-cutter vampire was laying on a
freudian style coutch being fed grapes by 3 gothic women (whom are played
by the 3 fates) hence the hair color (black, blonde, red) and I recall that
I recognized them for what they were. I asked the guy to step outside
because his entire demeanor was so fake and dramatic it was making me
almost sick. We began to encircle each other similar to how most boxers do
underneath the covered patio outside the front door. I'll have to say that
we were almost quite equal which is very rare even the monsters that are
larger than life though mentally draining wasnt of a real concern. The
fight went on with no one really having an advantage I shapeshifted claws
and repeated to slash him to bits. He ended up ont op of me somehow and
puched me repeatedly on the left side of my face. The fight ended with him
on top of me after he saw that punching me wasnt sufficient he ripped a
large piece of masonry from the curbside and countinued pounding me on left
side again I remember fading in and out of consciousness. He said
something to me that I couldnt fully understand but it sounded like
gloating. The last few things I remember is that while he was gloating and
I was almost gone I shifted the glands in my throat and spit acide all over
his face. He yelled furiously and with one large hit from the bit of mason
I was out. I awoke in my room but the room was in the style of the mansion
of my dreams it took me about 2 minutes as it slowly shifted into reality.
I was fully aware as I walked downstairs and out to my back porch that I
was awake and that the house would slowy fade back to reality. I couldnt
see out of my left eye. I lit a cigarette and my brother's girlfriend came
outside because she saw me stumbling and tooked one look at me and gasped.
She asked if I was in a fight. I replied ya sort of and checked in the
mirror and sure enough I was swollen all on my left side. I am curious to
know because I would prefer any rational explanations to this I have had
probably a couple of dozen dreams that this has occuried over a ten year
span. I was interested in any info you can give sorry if this should be a
new forum or not please forgive not use to typing. Sorry for the spelling
& grammar. My secretary wasnt hired for smarts. Just kidding about the
last line. |

Well...I can't tell you much, but I can tell you this.I'm no doctor but I
think you read too many books or watch too many movies. Your subconscience
mind replays things that you have already seen or have done. You probably
punched yourself in the face. I have woken up with bruises before that I
can't explain but I know I toss a lot in my sleep. Its an easy
explaination.

quote: I have Chronic Fatigue
Syndrome (CFS) which sucks big time.... Its difficult for me to fall asleep
and I am always tired no matter if I sleep for 12 hours, my muscles always
feel heavy as if i have croncrete bricks tied to me limbs...CFS is commonly
linked to Fibromylasia which thankfully I have not been diagnosed with as
of yet. I started off with Mild insomnia cause I can stay up for days at a
time not able to sleep but I could sleep for days at a time and it sucks
being tired all the friggn time.......
God, I have that too. and it's a pain in the ass. I can't stay awake in
school because I am so tired, and I sleep for hours everyday and am still
exausted when i wake up. Fibromylasia? whats that? ____________________ [[Ive learned too many things to let life pass me by now. Ive grown up and
