You know feral, if the only thing you had posted was your signature, I
think that would have done it.
Perhaps it takes on a colorful meaning when it is used to describe blood
coming out of the ears or eyes, as in Gothic Troll....hard to say. ____________________ It's like kegel exercises for your throat.~Monolycus |

Its a common idea that ornate and colorful are somehow the same thing. The
stain glass windows in gothic era catherdrals and the colors used in
Illuminated manuscripts (especially the "Irish" aside, the catherdrals
themselves are grey or white stone. The majority of the texts are not
"colorful" in a multihued sort of way (tho many are in the sense of unusual
characters doing odd things in strange places).
the jewlery of the time, the clothing, and the home decorations of the
merchant and ruling classes was not "colorful" in that the use of colored
enamels and pretty metals was a continuation of the earlier traditions and
died away towards the end of the period and the range of colors avaible in
dyes was more limited that it was during the "Rebirth".
saying that gothic means colorful is like saying gothic means literate or
tall, or even made of local stone. Its a bit of a stretch, the sort one
would make in 20 league boots. ____________________ Real goths wear silver and crosses to keep the werewolves and vampires

Why would you be so dismissive of someones comment. Why do you find it
funny to quote the definition to another person something you have clearly
done, like a robot, whenever someone you do not know mentions the word
'goth' on this site? Its not actually that funny. Maybe you don't know
everything. Every think of that? Huh? Did you? Huh? ____________________ Light is changing to shadow, and casting a shroud over all we have known. |

God, Xaoswolf, I loved that... I don't think you could have said it any
louder...
Abbadon: You gotta take this on the whole: First off, she's writing all in
bold. Second, she's got a cheezball animated gif. Third, two of her quotes
are from the same person: Her boyfriend. And they don't exactly tell us
anything interesting. Lastly (although this might be a little nitpicky)
she's got a really noob name... I mean "-92"? Sure it might stand for
something, but I'm kinda sick of seeing sn's with numbers in them. There
are enough words out there that you can think of something original without
tacking on numbers. But like I said, that point is kind of my personal
nitpickiness.

IF92....
I just have to ask, is 1992 the year you were born? I am not trying to be
rude or presumptive here, I am honestly curious and wondering if those
numbers are significant in anyway. ____________________ Real goths wear silver and crosses to keep the werewolves and vampires

*snickers* I didn't dismiss the comment easily... I dismissed te entire
fucking thread easily... because... it was... get this... WRONG... not
accurate...
Now... you seem to be unable to read past a definition... the rest of the
post says "I fail to see a reference to colorful there... If you would be
kind to us... next time you wish to post something like this... give
citations... it makes the difference between brilliance and idiocy". I post
a definition as one of those things i ask you for... a citation... ____________________ The earth turns on a tilted axis - just doing the best it can.
